where to start, where to start!!
got in at 7:30 to find the whole school apart from my office had power. found out im on the same circuit as the physics lab which had blown and couldnt be switched back on.
a sparky was called but before he arrived, the power in the whole school went out again.
that came back up, and the sparky arrived, moved my circuit onto another to get me online, but said he'd come back at 3 to put my office on its own circuit.

Ok well I got in this morning to find our tapestor had stopped working, the backup had failed last night and now backup exec wasn't recognising that there was even a device connected.
Spent two hours messing about with it before the RM kit was delivered.
Engineer turned up at about 10, went through a basic 'whats happening' and got cracking.
With me trying to sort our backups, I had to keep rebooting the server with backup exec on, which meant e-mails kept going up and down (exchange is on
it's always nice to have a day off, (in lieu) although It was cos I was going to the dentist. I've picked up an extra passenger, although it was a bit hairy at the time as he wasnt sure if he'd be able to fill it. Generally I find the dentist pretty relaxing. I mean it just lying there with your mouth open although I could have done without him mentioning the dreaded R-word.

Today I found out that over 30% of the staff in my school have a virus that is affecting there systems. It is called Bro Act. Its being a royal pain and at the minute I am struggling to remove it. Who knows, I may achieve it and tell other staff how to prevent it happening to them!

I for one really struggle with the seemingly endless abbreviations and tag lines, having only worked in the education sector since April 08. To be chucked in at the deep end is quite hairy... but I'll do my best!

In my replies in the post I suggested that it should be possible to script sysprep and I've now put together a script which I think will do this. I've done some testing but if you're going to use this for real then it really needs testing a bit more thoroughly!
