Yeah, we also use that one for student's nationality and it works fine. We haven't got any problem with it so far. Our problem is with the contacts' nationality. I hope they can include it too. Thank you very much Vik! I'm looking forward to hearing from you.

Hi Vik, It is quite important for us to have both student's nationality and their parent's nationality as our school is an international school. As SIMS doesn't have the nationality field for contacts so we have to use the UDF for it. The problem is when I design a Student list report I cannot add that contacts UDF into it. I need to run it separately in the Contacts list report. We use these fields for many purposes. They are very useful for the SMT. I think it is great to have a change request logged for it. My friend's school which I mentioned above, is an International school in Malaysia and they need it too.

Yes, it is. I have just checked with my friend. Sorry! Thanks Phil

I have just found out that SIMS in my friend's school has the Nationality field for Contacts of the student and our SIMS doesn't. We are both using the autumn release version 7.132. It is weird. Does anyone know anything about this? I don't know which exactly version that the Contacts Nationality field appears?

oh, you solved it by yourself

Do you use the result set? We use the result set for each term such as: Year 7 Term 1, Year 7 Term 2... So when we link the aspect to the result set, the result will come out in term such as Maths effort grade Year 7 Term 1. If we do a report filter it with the result set, we can have the latest one. I'm not sure that I understand exactly your problem but I hope it can help.

I had the same issue. Although I chose the effective date, new student didn’t appear before their admission date. My solution is, when I select student to print time table, for the new one, I choose their status is ‘any’ not ‘current’, enter their name and search then they appear for me to add. I think the effective date is just for their time table not for their membership date.

This morning I changed this year first day back to one day, then setup the new year. It seems fine, no overlap. Thank you very much.

Thanks all @Vik: Thanks, I'm doing OK and has just been back from a busy report week. How are you? Yes, i follow Capita's guide book to set up the new year. Last year, we had the overlapping day and it seemed to be some problems at the first day with new and old things mixed up. Just ask for sure it is OK and if there is solution.

Hi Guys, On SIMS, when we setup a new academic year, is that OK if the last day of Summer Holiday overlap the first day of the Next academic year? Is there any way to change the last day of summer holiday as SIMS automatically set it as 365 days after the first day of an academic year. Please help me. Thank you!

Actually, my report is not Minutes late report . Because I just want to view the percentage of late so I made my own report which shows the % Late. My xml file works nicely

Well I did try it. However, the marksheet doesn't show the values on the exported spreadsheet that I've edited and saved. So I tried another way that is importing data from Excel to my marksheet: Routiens/Data in/Assessment/Import From Spreadsheet (I had saved the Minutes Late Report as a .xml spreadsheet file) . But it takes time to select matching student's name. When I finished all the progress, my marksheet now shows the correct value and in my individual report also. However, the value cannot update automatically because it's from a saved .xml file and it doesn't link to the system's database .

This seems to be a good solution. I'll try to make it when I come to my office tomorrow Thank you pretty much vikpaw!

Thanks for your help! Unfortunately our school doesn’t have Lesson Monitor at the moment:Cry:. I’m wondering is there any additional tag that can show the lateness percent or number of lates?!
