Hi All, I am working with PowerShell and Windows 7 libraries. I am successful with removing a library, adding a new one but I am coming up at a loss adding the currently logged in users 'My Music' folder to the library. I presume that it is not liking the %userprofile% on the add folder. The issue is that there could be other users on this computer and all users are on a domain. Any help would be appreciated! @echo off Echo Remove Music Library del "%userprofile%\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Libraries\Music.library-ms" pause Echo Create Music library for current user (run in user context) shlib create "%userprofile%\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Libraries\Music.library-ms" pause shlib add "%userprofile%\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windo ws\ Libraries\Music.library-ms" "%userprofile%\My Music" Pause

Hi, we have a Windows Server 2008 R2 FRD and Windows 7 Clients. One of the noticeable problems with Windows 7 on a domain is the annoying library options which show on the left hand side of an explorer window. It causes chaos for users as they are able to save work in local libraries rather than their shared network drives. I made the necessary changes via Group Policy to get shot of the libraries. - See below.. http://i56.photobucket.com/albums/g179/talksr/rm/gpol.png When a system which has the policy applied, is logged in, this is what they see in their explorer window.... http://i56.photobucket.com/albums/g179/talksr/rm/folders.png Perfect! But, the head is not happy with the way she now has to browse her folders. The management team would rather they are able to browse at least their my documents (network share N:\) from the old fashioned windows xp'ish tree view which would also be in the same area on the left as the now blank libraries area. Is there a way to add this just for their N:\ drive? Any info/help would be really great

I know this subject has been discussed all over the place, but does anyone have a clear, concise guide on how to remove the 'Libraries' feature of Windows 7? Is it even possible? I've read this post and many others, and have implemented the adm file that did succesfully remove the Libraries, Homegroup and Network icons from the navigation bar. However, this does not remove the libraries feature in the Open or Save dialog boxes. When opening or saving documents, Students are now presented with opening or saving from their 'libraries' folder, rather than the common save locations that they are used to. Folder redirection means that the places shown in their 'Libraries' are actually their home drives (which is good), but I want it to say 'Home Drive' or for them to be able to browse to the 'Student Shared Drive', rather than being locked into saving in folders within the libraries. I hope this makes sense.

Long time lurker, first time poster. I have been asked by a teacher to make several additional Python libraries (PyGame, OpenAI, Numpy, OpenCV, Pandas, TensorFlow & PIL) available to all students using PCs in the IT suites. We use PDQ Deploy as much as we can, and I've used it to deploy IDLE and Python 3 with no problems but I'm struggling with with how to install additional libraries. Does anyone have any advice, or even better, PDQ packages? Installing to the C drive is preferable to AppData but I'll take whatever I can get! Thanks so much!
