Hi Folks, I've been happiliy retired now for over four years, but an ex-colleague just called me in a panic with a census error 1000. Now, I remember seeing this and resolving it, but I'm blowed if I can remember the details. Is there anyone here who can give simple steps I could forward, or maybe could look it up on SupportNet? Thanks in advance.

Hello, Opted to join this forum (again), I last was here as a techie - now a School Business Manager. However, know you'll all welcome me & the support on here far outweighs that of direct support from Capita (in my view). Certainly for out of hours! I have a student on a maths resit course, however in the courses panel there is no "School Census Activity" listed for the course. I am after some guidance on where in SIMs I need to enter it, I assume this needs to link to maths to ensure the Condition of Funding is met. Many thanks in advance, Andrew

Has anybody else had this error in SIMS Spring census? It only happens (for me anyway) with students who were put on roll on the first day and taken off the same day because they never attended and were found to be at other schools. It may also be worth noting that the first day was an inset day for us so they weren't expected in anyway. It appears to be a bug, whereby rather than SIMS reporting the number of possible sessions as 0, it returns a blank thus causing this error. Has anybody else had this problem? How did you go about fixing it?

Morning all, I am getting an extremely annoying error code on the census 2905 (attached below) I have checked the end dates and they all match. On the course section on the main screen of the census and on the post-16 programme of study. I have done a bulk update and the error is still showing (135 students approx.) This is my first time doing it, I have the 2 million page document and i can't seem to find another solution. Has anyone else experienced this before? Thanks

Hello, I am frustrated that I have received this email from Advanced Learning a few minutes ago: http://ui.isend-itineris.co.uk/view.aspx?e=ef8e87349a9b479e8b810070d792cc1e&t=57749c99e9&r=6ef5d82b3b telling us that we will need to re-patch our Facility CMIS. We have identified this affects ~12 of our schools, which is not good providing the that Census day is tomorrow. I know that it doesn't need to be submitted tomorrow, but we are still very unhappy about this. For reference our SIMS schools were upgraded during the summer with no further issues. They just released the current version on 1st September. How do other vendors deal with this? Other than SIMS, have you had a smooth upgrade this time? I am curious to know if this is extended or if it is just AL. - Frustrated J.

Wasn't sure if this would be the right place. MODS: Please move to another location if appropriate. Link: Census 2021 - purple plaques Screen capture of the nomination form:

Hello, I have a student with a permanent exclusion start date of 15/03/2023, a Governor Review Date of 18/04/2023 with a Review Result of Exclusion Stands and a Final Governor Review Outcome Date of 18/04/2023 and a Review Result of Exclusion upheld by initial governor review (confirmed). The student was taken off-roll on 16/05/2023. This permanent exclusion is not showing on our detailed Census exclusion report but the LA insists it should be included. When testing, our LSU found that if we edited both 18/04/2023 dates to 09/04/2023, it was included. Our LA checked with the DfE and was told "as the exclusion start date falls within the reporting period (01/08/2022 – 09/04/2023) and it was upheld prior to the census date (18/05/2023), it would be expected to be reported in the summer census." I am on Fileset 2402. Is this a bug with the SIMS Census or is the DfE advice incorrect? I have been unable to find a link to official clear guidance on this. I have logged a call with our LSU but wondered if anyone can shed some light on this for me. Thanks Mark

Hi, I'm new to all this and spent a long time getting the information kept in SIMS accurate. Alongside everything else, what needs to focussed on to ensure that I am ready for the Spring census?
