Good Morning All, Its that time of year again when our Cunningham support contract is due for renewal. This year it has gone up over £700 and is now just below the £4000 mark. Has anyone removed any items from there support contract such as the tills and bio readers? We are still using the Toshiba STA10 tills that they will stop supporting in 2021 but want nearly £6000 to replace them all. We are happy to maintain the hardware in-house and to also look at upgrading them ourselves. Has anyone done this? I have also questioned why it costs £595 for someone to come out to 'install/commission' the tills. Surly if they was to send them out or just deliver them we can install them. Commissioning will not be an issue for us to do in house either as we have extensive knowledge of how their system works from problem solving issues ourselves due to slow support... I would like to look at moving to an alternative supplier (Biostore Fastrak) ideally we would buy the tills inhouse from a third party and Biostore only need to supply the cash loaders and software. Has anyone ever done anything like this? Thanks Matt

Hi All Apologies if this is the wrong area. Posting this as fyi/headsup for others. I was wondering if anyone else has come across this issue? Our finance team noticed a discrepancy on the cash reconciliation from our reval units. After an investigation we figured out the machines were reading £5 notes as £10 notes! Of course no student would alert anyone to the fact they get more money into the system than they have actually put in. Our finance team was unloading the reval units every few weeks rather than daily so as far as we can establish the issue started in October. Over £2500 was wrongly credited to students as far as they have been able to determine. I reported it to Cunninghams who sent an engineer out. All he did was update the firmware and the issue was fixed. The readers were updated in February when the new £20 note came out. I have asked them for a full report but have not had anything back. Anyone else come across this issue?

Hi We have been told we are going down the route of an LCR cashless catering system at our school. I just wanted to see if there were any techies in the North West who have this system in place at their school. Any feedback would be much appreciated!

Hi all, Apologies if this is not the right place and mods, feel free to relocate it. Our school catering manager is after some easy to use software that will produce labels showing nutritional information for the meals each day to stick on sandwiches etc. We would be interested in any solution/software that any of you have tried and tested and are generally pleased with - free or otherwise. This could be just a software package or a full solution of maybe a tablet, app and label printer. Many thanks, Ian

Hello, I'm having issues with the CRB Cunninghams cashless catering system, and I'm wondering if anybody here can help. For the past few months, the catering service has been inexplicably crashing during break and lunch, requiring us to either restart the services or the whole VM. I'm saying "inexplicably" because the system will work fine for a couple weeks before having an episode of crashing every few days. We've managed to observe a crash through RDP once and the thing that puzzled us is the fact that both RAM and CPU usage were nowhere near half %, let alone maxing out the server. We've tried everything. We've tried changing the VM network adapter type, adding exceptions in the server's antivirus, we've even set up scheduled task to restart all the services 10 minutes before break. We've contacted Cunninghams multiple times about his and they haven't manged to get this fixed at all. But by far the single worst aspect of this is that there are no logs from the Cunninghams services when it crashes. Nothing in event viewer. Not even a single file in the "log" folder Does anyone know what might be going on here? Any ideas on how to remedy this? Any and all help appreciated

Hi We're about to go ahead and purchase a Cashless Catering System, however we are still unsure which one to pick. We have three to choose from. These are Nationwide - love it just a bit too expensive. Vericool - Great product - does it work elsewhere? Live Register - Jumped in at the last minute - I don't know many schools with this? The Nationwide is by far the most expensive, followed by Vericool (£3k cheaper then Nationwide) and then Live Register (£400 cheaper than Vericool). We require three tills with biometrics, and a biometric pre ordering terminal. I just wanted to see if anyone has these products? Any pros/cons of any of the systems? Anything we need to know before we proceed? Thanks
