Went for q as an additional value in the database!

I've attached an image. Typically I'd like the end user never to enter the url manually - it would end up with the form never being used. That's why I've been using GET because it pulls the value from the url which a CGI script creates. I'm thinking it may just be easier to have an optional field in the database to grab a "q=" value if exists. You can see the two fields on the form circled in red - these are normally hidden fields.

Only problem is now the title sequence appears to be longer - the episode will be shorter. Which are already considerable shorter than the episodes were years ago.

Was playing around with htmlspecialchars last night - could have just been too late for me to comprehend how to code properly. Shall give it another go today.

I'm probably not doing something really simple but at 2am my brain is just fried! The following code is part of a filtering review form: the above section of the code is intended to capture the url section of the current web address. This a long with a couple of other variables are posted from a cgi script. e.g. an example web address for the form: http://10.xx.xxx.xx/~BlockedWWW/cpreview/submitreview.php?user=testuser&url=http://www.google.co.uk/search?hl=en&q=proxy&meta=&ipaddr=10.xx.xxx.xx&type=redlist Unfortunately because of the way Google and some other websites work they actually use &'s in the url which doesn't help matters for my form. So when the form grabs the value it ends up as http://www.google.co.uk/search?hl=en and then &q=*query* + &meta=*meta* becom like additional posted values - if you like. I imagine I need to do some html escaping in my coding to replace the &'s from the url section of the web address. I can move the url string to the end of the address so it doesn't interfere with any other values. Am hitting a bit of a brick wall - little help how I can achieve getting the form to grab the proper url string value?

They didn't let you buy 16 projectors, happily charge you for them then become very relunctant to take them back (because they weren't the wireless ones that you wanted that got delivered)? Only after the threat of closing our account have they said they'd get on it but in reality the projectors are still sitting in our main entrance corridor. Nice little figure on the books there - it's becoming really annoying ! EDIT: P.S. Being complaining for near on 4-5 months.

Got a meeting with EXPD on Wednesday about Asset-i: Asset-i Asset tracking and Management System It's a bar coding solution - £6,500 in the corporate sector but reduced to £3,500 for education. Their in the area so they said they'd pop by... may be worth paying for, the more information pack they sent was nice!

Anyone had dealings with EduSen's Against Bullying Programme? Edusen - Homepage Found a link to it somewhere on our VLE (going to have to hunt it down again). Just signed up and it looks rather fit for purpose - only thing that slightly bugs me is: i) the inability to delete individual pupils if they leave; ii) inability to mass delete pupils when their leaving year 11; iii) need to sign each student up individually within the admin panel. I've sent an email off to EduSen for more feedback on those.

Maybe I think the comeback would probably be - pay the invoice and we'll send your mug. What's the cheapest thing on there

Whao, what are these thing's called "floppy discs"? I don't appear to be familiar with them .. .. .. .. .. FRIGGIN HELL! Floppy Discs still exist - argh! Keep a few laying around for technical use and builds but rid the students and households of them.
