Yes, there are two keys and both work with other installs of office. I have also tried both of them on the problem computer but no luck! -
Microsoft Office 2016 Unlicensed product issue?!?!
1TF0rward replied to 1TF0rward's topic in Office Software
I know I would love to do that but it is an office machine that has some software on it that the company charges for it to be installed (They has to do it before). It is a fairly new Win 10 install. They don't want me to re-image. -
Microsoft Office 2016 Unlicensed product issue?!?!

This is a volume agreement. -
So I had this issue with one computer where no matter how many time I put in the licence key it would say it was an unlicensed product but prior to that said ti was activated and for me to restart. After being on the phone to Microsoft for an hour with them sending me to other departments, they asked for some information that I didn't have or ever had. Because I didn't have that information it would only be basic support for me. (I'm supporting a primary school) The week before last I finally fixed the issue by running the .Net framework repair tool. But last week it said it was unlicensed again. I've looked all over the web and nothing seems to be any help. The repair tools don't seem to find any issues. Not had it with any other computer. Thanks in advance. P.S. I have reinstalled office and get the same issue. Office 365 isn't installed too.

I'm being migrated on Tuesday. SLT not yet looked at filtering categories. Going to be a close one! Anything I should know before it starts? How prepared shall I be? Will it be a long afternoon? As long it is the last week of term so if things were to go badly I'm sure they won't be too unhappy. They have said we can always revert to lightspeed in 10 mins. -

Managing IT jobs list over summer holidays

Something I used to use was Trello. It is so easy to manage tasks and even good for logging tickets, assigning staff and adding updates. Adding priorities to cards etc. Worth a look! -

I've had this issue in the past and remember disabling QUIC fixed the issue. https://www.bitdefender.com/support/how-to-disable-quic-protocol-in-google-chrome-1669.html Hope this helps!

I have now upgraded the RAM in my 8300. Seems to have drastically improved it! So I'm happy with that. I "only" have 2 monitors, I think that is enough for me. I have spoken to ICTDirect_Dave about a laptop and has recommended a nice one for a good price. I will purchase that one or something similar in the new budget year. I have more on hand issues than being sat down so taking a laptop that I can see is a necessity. Thank you everyone for all the input. This has been very helpful.

As this was the general chat I'd thought this would be a less formal chat. Will rename, apologies.

The wording was a joke title to draw people in, call it clickbate. Just wanted to see what other peoples opinions are. I hardly ever use my desktop as it is pretty poor. As I am in the move i prefer to use a laptop for its ease of use. My current one is an alright spec but screen is very dim, it's very small so doesn't help. I can cope with it but just makes working slightly more difficult.
-
That is the exact spec I've been quoted. It's £586.50, which budget would this come out of? I wouldn't mind it not coming out of mine. My whole budget is pretty much licenses!!

So i've been thinking... I've currently got a HP Compaq Elite8300 i5 4GB RAM. I have only just upgraded to a 240GB SSD. Is that enough to do my job? Am I allowed to get something better and how much would be a reasonable price? Also is there a spec that I should go for? Desktop or Laptop or both!?! I like the Stone Cloud Books, I'm currently trialing one and want a Business Book but I think £600 is a bit too much? Any advice would be appreciated!

I have spoken to Danny. He is curious at who recommenced him and that there was no pressure to get a good price then! - - - Updated - - - I have spoken to Danny. He is curious at who recommenced him and that there was no pressure to get a good price then!

When I was looking I looked at amazon and ebuyer but didn't see any good "deals". I also went to multiple suppliers and all was a lot higher. If you could find me one cheaper on amazon or ebuyer I would be highly grateful as I am looking to get 150 of them. At £13 a piece I will be very happy and so will SLT. Not sure if this is the same in every school but ordering is extremely slow at time so it is hard to get approval for deals.

Library Resource software - recomendations

Accessit not yet got it up and running the install is friday -
Is 14.40 good for a 120?
-
I've been quoted £24 for KINGSTON BX500 240GB SSD SATA DRIVE. Seems reasonable to me. The more you get the less you pay per unit.
