Can't you use GPO's in powerpoint/office to set default browser? this happened a while ago for me with an update in outlook.

Really depends on your budget. I used 2 of these cameras, an ATEM mini switcher or Elgato CamLink. if you are going all out or expanding I used this as a guide . of course, you'll need something to edit on, record audio if you are far away etc etc.

We've been using a Gh4 and Gh5, Mac Mini, Atem mini switcher ( 4 HDMI outputs which we can use with an iPad or whatever). Had we still been in lockdown I would have explored NDI with OBS and possibly more YouTube Live stuff? You can live stream to an unlisted video. Most assemblies are done on Zoom but the 40min limit is starting to affect it. Of course, OBS and an x32 producer mixer for microphones. If using multiple cameras I might also use HDMI over cat5 depending on the event. Some of this kit is what we've had already so it wasn't a massive purchase. Just bear in mind that the more you get the more work there is. I'm often struggling to manage all of this especially if something goes wrong. For the cameras, we bought second-hand off MBP ( used camera website) and some stuff from Thomann ( German music equipment site) << excellent customer service and quality but do check for Brexit-related issues.

Hi, We are having an issue in which new staff are getting a microsoft 365 inbox rather than their exchange one. They can access emails through webmail which is fine but when setting up outlook 365 it's just blank or in some cases it will have the Microsoft Viva welcome email. All the licenses seem correct ( A3 faculty license) I'm at a bit of a loss on what to do. I've tried creating a new profile etc but that hasn't worked. Made sure to choose exchange as the option etc. Has anyone had similar issues? Thanks

If it's only 30 iPads you're probably better off using Apple Configurator 2, a mac mini, or something similar, and a charge/sync station. you can load up apps and profiles for WIFI etc. The charge/sync station will probably cost a bit unless you just want to do it all one by one .

Hi All, After HT our chrome books started having issues with magic badges on student WIFI with deep packet inspection on. It gets to the QR code part where you hold your code up but just doesn't progress. I can't see anything getting blocked so I am at a loss. Works fine on staff WIFI which doesn't have DPI but I've allow-listed every address provided by Wonde. I've also added them to the DPI exemption list on Fortinet. If anyone has been having similar issues or has any advice I would certainly appreciate it. Thanks WI

It's quite hard to test as the PC is fine after I press CTRL ALT DEL. I will have to wait for the issue to come up again and look at that setting, though I don't think it is that. Thanks for your help,

Hi All, I've been having an issue recently where a user can only access the sign on screen by press CTRL ALT DEL. most users can just click the mouse or tap a key as usual but this issue seems to be coming up more frequently. Does anyone have any suggestions as to why this might be happening. I have recently updated impero to the latest version. Many thanks

Yeah I've blocked the URL but it does break it so that's not an option. I'm surprised there isn't an age filter like in the iOS app Store.

Hi all, I'm working through locking down our chromebooks and have come across an issue with our chromebooks/webstore. We have Safesearch/education filtering applied from our web filter but if you type a NSFW topic into the web store adult content can appear. For example I typed "Adult" and while you get porn blockers you do get some inappropriate content as well. The google documentation doesn't seem to include anything useful or plain doesn't work. Has anyone had better luck with their chromebooks? any advice greatly received.

Hi all, We've upgraded to Windows 10 over the summer and so far it hasn't been to bad. We had rolled it out to a few rooms and then to teachers dept by dept. One thing that has been bothering me this week is the long green bar when opening file explorer. Does anyone know where I might start to troubleshoot?(other than google) It happens once or twice for a user and then will be fine. Also, and I don't know if its related but opening apps are quite slow (about 20 seconds to open word or chrome). Many thanks

Hi all, This is an odd one and I'm not even sure it's possible. Currently, and for some reason beyond my payscale, we use mail merges to import grades and make reports in word. This is just used for EYFS and not other depts. is it possible for me to check whether the mergefield is true or false and if true add an X, instead of the value in excel. My table looks like this. I have made bookmarks to reference Attainment(1-3) in each column in Word. and this is the mergefield from excel. I guess i want to say "if mergefield = Attainment1 display X, if false dont show anything. I would then use this for each column of attainments 1-3. Ideally I would just add the data but they don't want it changed. If anyone has any ideas on how to tackle it I'd love to hear. Many thanks

Thanks for the reply Robyholmes. I did come across this i'll double check but pretty sure its running on a x64. It's also using a x64 WIM. I've seen some mentions of MDT mounting wims and keeping them in a temp file. I'll update tomorrow. Cheers

We had a lot of GPO errors has clients couldn't connect to where the policies get stored. I have this script as well - might need to test as I haven't used it in a while you can check event viewer for a 1058 error i think.

I managed to get into Marvell bios utility and it says the VD is degraded. I assume my only option is to rebuild? Would that harm the data on the disks? Thanks
