We've invited three in for demonstration: Arbor, Bromcom and Ed:gen (IRIS name for iSAMS). Honestly, its between Bromcom and Ed:gen for me. Arbor didnt wow me as we have a couple of secondary schools in the MAT. Bromcom and Edgen were comparable, pricing wise edgen was better and we liked what they had to say about their future developments etc. If we had to choose today, it would be a tight call between Bromcom and IRIS.

That's how iSams started, it was developed for Rugby School by an ex pupil (dont quote me on that) and then taken to market. I guess we'll wait and see but as of today, I/we havent been wow'd by anyone. -

Hi, Really struggling to be wow'd by the options on the market. Well its not just me, as a process, we can't agree on the most suitable option. My question is, has anyone ever considered working with a software company to develop their own MIS? If so, then who? If not, then why? Cheers!!!!

You dont loose access to SIMS (if hosted onsite) when you stop paying the AE. Access to historical data shouldnt be an issue. - - - Updated - - - Has anyone considered getting a software company to develop their own MIS??? Surely it cant be that hard??!!

How have you gotten on with Acronis? Looking into this as our server is coming to end of life, ive seen they offer endpoint security aswell.
