  1. @ITGuyNW, the software shouldn't be crashing. Our support team should be able to walk you through some steps to identify what is causing the crash and get some log files so we can do some further analysis. If you haven't done so already it might be worth adding an exception to the program files folder in your anti-virus software to see if this helps. If you want to DM me your details I can chase this with our support team and see where they are with investigating the issue for you. Matt
  2. Morning all, I just wanted to respond to a few points raised in this thread. The Tech Console that @mrbios mentioned was released for all customers at the end of February, this added a number of highly requested features from our on prem products to classroom.cloud: The ability to see thumbnails for all devices across your network Copy and paste to a remote session Blank screen (blank the screen on the users device whilst you are carrying out work) PowerShell with the ability to see the responses from machines File transfer Remote Registry editing Task Manager which allows you to see running applications (and close them), running processes and the ability to start / stop / restart services The Tech Console also has the ability to work out where you are in relation to the machines you want to connect to. This means that when you're in school it will route all traffic across your local network for the best performance, but where a direct connection can't be made traffic will be routed via our cloud infrastructure. Regarding the auto updating of the client, we are working on some changes that will hopefully make this a bit easier. If you are using the software across multiple schools and deploying using a method which allows switches to be added to the install command (SCCM or Intune for example), we recommend that you set the device configuration separately rather than let the installer do it. This means that when it comes to upgrading you only need to setup a single deployment package rather than one for each school. I have put together a video which explains how to do this from Intune, but do reach out to our Support Team if you have any further questions. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=925Tlu6LUhc&t @ITGuyNW our latest update can identify where safeguarding triggers have come from AI sources, we also have the ability to monitor Copilot where it's being used on devices where our software isn't installed if a student is logged in using their school account.
  3. Hi @mason2, First thing to check would be that all the addresses / ports on this list are being allowed through your firewall (you only need to add the ones from the UK South section). https://kb.netsupportsoftware.com/knowledge-base/what-are-the-fqdns-for-classroom-clouds-servers/ I have also seen the same behaviour occur when the default browser on the student device is Edge and the first run experience hasn't been completed. This can be disabled via GPO or an Intune configuration. If you are still struggling to get this working then please reach out to our support team or DM me your details and I can get someone to give you a call.
  4. @Space_Munkey, what you have described does sound like the Client32.exe has been removed / quarantined by Trellix, although it seems odd that there are no records of this happening. Have you got an exception setup for the NetSupport School folder within Trellix? If you haven't done so already, do reach out to our Support Team or DM me your details and I can arrange for someone to get in-touch to take a look at this for you. Matt
  5. @mikes our classroom.cloud product provides similar functionality to Impero Education Pro and will work with Windows and ChromeOS. The extension for ChromeOS has been updated to use the v3 manifest so everything will continue to work when v2 is disabled in June this year.
  6. Must be the first time NetSupport have resolved an issue with Impero!
  7. This might be down to Google depreciating support for the Native Client (NaCl) in Chrome 132. There is a setting which forces this to be enabled in the Google Admin Portal. Devices > Chrome > Settings, under the Content section, Allow Native Client (NaCl). Might be worth enabling that to see if it resolves the issue.
  8. @Jobos The safeguarding functionality in classroom.cloud is very similar to DNA for Windows devices. For Chromebooks it much better as it has additional functionality such as being able to record video of phrase matches (DNA can only do this for Windows). The biggest advantage for both platforms is that it's really simple to monitor student devices when they leave your site (this can be turned off if you don't want to), and your safeguarding team can access data remotely. We'll be down at BETT next week if you are attending, or if you want a chat/demo then get in-touch and we can get something arranged. @whartomt01 if you want to DM me your details I can have a chat with our support team and see what's going on with your screenshare issue. Matt
  9. @Sheridan, there is certainly something not right there. Get in contact with our Support Team who can arrange a remote session and do some investigation, alternatively if you want to PM me your details I can get someone to give you a call.
  10. @Sheridan the behaviour you are describing does sound like the privacy setting has been enabled for the thumbnails (this deliberately obfuscates the thumbnail to prevent the desktop being visible). If you have this setting applied at a user level it could explain why the thumbnail goes from displaying clearly to being pixelated as the setting will change depending on who is logged onto the device. You can check on a machine with a pixelated thumbnail as follows: From the Explorer view in the DNA Console switch from thumbnail view to details view by clicking the button about half way across the top toolbar. For a machine having the issue, check the value displayed in the profile column. Click Settings at the top of the DNA Console window, then click Manage existing profiles. Select the profile you identified earlier and click the Settings button. Click the Explorer button and check to see if the option for Privacy mode is ticked. If the setting isn't enabled then get in-touch with our Support Team who will be able to perform some further diagnostics.
  11. Probably worth mentioning that I'll be at the edugeek conference at the end of the month, so if anyone has any general questions or feedback on our products I'll be happy to have a chat.
  12. Hi @browolf From what you have described I think you need the gateway key from the encryption tool, but do reach out to our Support Team as they will be able to perform a remote session and check everything is setup correctly for you. Alternatively if you want to PM me your details I can get a ticket logged and arrange for someone to give you a call.
  13. @loxford01, this warning only refers to our classroom.cloud app and won't impact any other user provisioning you have setup. I've put together a couple of videos which walk through the setup, links below. Part 1 - Part 2 -

  15. Hi @dapaulio Each of the products you have mentioned can be run, and are managed independently. The issue you are having with NetSupport School and devices not connecting to the Tutor Console is probably going to require a call with our Support Team so they can check over your configuration. You don't need to have all three products running on the same server, you can split them over multiple servers if you wish. For a recommend server specification we would need to know a little bit more about your NetSupport DNA setup. How many devices do you have the DNA Agent installed on, and are you running DNA with a full copy of SQL Server or using SQL Express? Our support contact details can be found here https://support.netsupportsoftware.com Alternatively, if you PM me your details I can arrange for someone from our team to get in contact.
  16. @yjgygyufgvfghfh sorry to hear that you are having issues getting NetSupport Notify deployed across your network. If you want to PM me your details then I can get a member of our Support Team to jump on a remote session with you and help with the deployment.
  17. Hi Zourous, We recommend installing the Name and Connectivity Server component of NetSupport School as it resolves most connection issues which can be experienced on larger more complex networks. It shouldn't require it's own dedicated server to run on, most of our customers run it on one of their existing servers.
  18. New updates and offers with NetSupport Visit us at Bett 2023 on stand SE51 to see the latest updates to our solutions, access special offers, freebies – and much more! Both our cloud (classroom.cloud) and on-premise (NetSupport School) solutions have been updated. 20. I followed the guide here to get Windows 11 up and running in Hyper-V. https://www.windowscentral.com/how-try-windows-11-alongside-windows-10-using-virtual-machine
  21. We have now released an update for the DNA Chrome Agent (version 1.5.2.0), which fixes the issue mentioned earlier in this thread where phrases weren't being detected when being typed into Google Docs. The change requested by @Garacesh to have the URL of blocked websites included in emails will be included in the next release of NetSupport DNA.
  22. You can ingest ADMX templates into Intune and apply the settings via configuration policies. It isn't the most straightforward of processes, but when I was learning how to do this I found the Google guides on how to do this for Chrome the easiest to follow, just take their example and apply it to the templates you are wanting to use. https://support.google.com/chrome/a/answer/9102677?hl=en#zippy=%2Cstep-set-up-a-chrome-policy-with-intune%2Cstep-ingest-the-chrome-admx-file-into-intune There is also some information here on using the Firefox ADMX templates with Intune. https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/managing-firefox-intune https://github.com/mozilla/policy-templates/blob/v2.8/README.md
  23. The company are still in business, might be worth dropping them an email and seeing if they can help. https://www.merciancycles.co.uk/
  24. Hi Gongalong, to use NetSupport Manager across the internet you will need to setup a gateway server. This can either be a server on your local network which is accessible from the internet by setting up a port forwarding rule on your firewall, alternatively the gateway can be hosted on a cloud platform such as Azure or AWS. It does require a client to be installed on the machine you want to control, however we can simplify this process by having the client automatically license and apply the configuration during installation.
