Good point about setting up multiple fingers, however I thought iPhones could only do 1 at a time? As for the laptop you've described, you've not kept it well. My old laptop had a 120GB drive at 5400RPM, was 5 years old, and from lock screen, was into windows in around 3 seconds. This is with lots of group policies etc on the laptop also. Also, 7200RPM for a laptop is fast (not SSD fast, but still fast)

no, not 1% on beer duty, 1p, its a big difference (1% is 2.6p per pint)

Wow...taking under 21s out of the tax bracket regardless of earnings...that's brave! Some bankers at 21 pull in 6 figure salaries!

Pubs and clubs that do enforce that law, tend to close within 1 year due to lost business. Education on alcohol, people will only learn if they have an interest to learn on it.
-
True, but the only way to solve the problem for binging is putting it up by £1-5 per bottle/pint.

The cycle of governments is like this - Labour, Spending and Debts increases. Conserv, Spending and Debts decrease. Why not balance the books, then start paying off debts we owe to other countries?

Sorry, but the alcohol needs to go up. More people are complaining about the costs of alcohol, but the fact is, people binge on alcohol, costing NHS, and emergency services millions every weekend to make sure people dont get harmed or help people that have been harmed. Raising the cost of alcohol will help stop it. 1-2p per pint may not sound like much, but if you consider an average bar on a Friday night goes through close to 1000 pints per tap, it is an extra £10-£20 per Friday. Now lets say there are on average 500 bars in a town, this is an extra £5000-£10000 per town used for emergency services. It helps cover the cost that binge drinkers cause!

Thing is, cigarettes pay for a large majority of the NHS, stop smokers and you have more people in old age using NHS services costing more!

tax free allowance to raise cigarettes to raise by 1-2p per pack alcohol to raise by 1-2p per pint I would LOVE to see a corn syrup tax, because it is used in so many foods and drinks now that it should be taxed, and its got health risks attached, so why not tax it. Would love to see ISA rates go up also.

Yeh enjin wont allow you to remove the forum database or anything, so if you wanted to convert your forum to a new domain elsewhere, you are looking at I think (last time I checked) £250 for the privelege.
-
That said Enjin is probably the quickest way to go for now without coughing up any cash
-
ahh yes but if you decide to migrate or buy your own domain, enjin make it hard to do so without paying up for the privilege!
-
I too feel the same, but I have people I play with that are not on edugeek, so yeah
-
fair enough. I know of a hosting company where if you buy the hosting for a year (or take a contract to pay monthly for a year) you get a free .com domain so was looking at that.

sharp braking, dodgy turns, people hitting into you. Anything!
-
If I buy up the website, will people actively visit, keep up to date etc?

Then you are doing something horribly wrong or you are an awfully slow typist. On windows, when you press CTRL+ALT+DEL on a lock screen by default the password field is highlighted and ready to type into. Also, if its your password, you type it daily, it should be second nature to speed type it in (mine is 13 digits long for work, takes me less than 1 second to type and press enter). If you are unable to answer a call from a locked machine in 5 seconds, then you have issues. Now say for example you get a paper cut on your finger, depending on the sensitivity of the reader, once that cut is there, you can't use it again as the scar tissue will have altered your fingerprint. So its a gimmick that's a bit rubbish. *edit* Also... *your, I'm, I've, Log on/Log In, Cisco, IP, VOIP /end troll mode.
