    Riso Printers

We are looking to replace our printers and are considering going with Rico printers as they have told us that they will charge 1p for color and 0.0005p for black and white copies but wanted to see how other people have found their service and the printers overall as have never heard of this company before.
  2. Hi, I am looking to setup voicemail(embedded version) to email on our Avaya system and running into an issue where the voicemail is sent to the email in a Wav format but there is no audio when listening to the file
  3. Hi Rich-tech, I have not heard of this ISP before - How have you found them?
  4. YYYYYYYYYYYYYES - very underrated show
  5. Hi CWK2, Would be wiling to provide a quick guide on how you used the Appleloops script to download the sound files for your users as I still seem to be having issues.
  6. Hi TomPearceGeek,We had this issue resolved a while back and the solution you have stated was what was needed to resolve this issue. I know have another issue with Logic Pro x where the Logic Pro X sound files need to be downloaded for each user but I believe that there is a way to deploy the sound files to each user and have them re index the files. Do you have any experience with this? Thanks in advance.
  7. Hi, Would anyone be willing to share how much they pay for their internet connection - I just want to make sure that what we are paying is reasonable. We currently have a 200mb leased line which we pay £4200 a year for - would be very interested to see what others pay.
  8. Hi, As we move more services into the cloud we are looking to have a backup line in case our leased line goes down. Does anyone anything setup for this purpose which does not break the bank?
  9. Would you be willing to share the name of the company that is providing these services to you?
  10. We have Kyocera devices and as mentioned above Papercut 19 should all ow you to do this. You may have to upgrade the Papercut embedded software shown in the guide below: https://www.acd-inc.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/10/PaperCut-MF-Kyocera-Embedded-Manual-2018-10-15.pdf?x61998
  11. We have use Burnetts which most companies who offer this type of scheme go through anyway. They just market it in their own way. Another company to consider is Freedom tech https://freedomtech.co.uk/ which basically do the same thing but I believe have lesser restrictions when making GAP claims(Don`t need a police reference number). We had all our parents purchase a device but this is because the school decided to move to Gsuite etc so it was basically needed. In order to have this uptake we brought in parents after school to explain the scheme and why we were doing this any answered any questions they had which I belive helped uptake. It works well however there are definitely things to consider: When we set this scheme up we had to finance the equipment from a bank called Syscap (Now weslyn bank) and pay them a monthly rental which we are still paying. This amount is contributed to by parents .At the end of the agreement you have to make a one off payment to transfer title of the goods. W have two agreements one of which expires this year and we need to pay £4000 to transfer the title to the achool or send the Chromebooks back(No way we can do that) Will you allow parents to pay monthly or will it just be a one off payment. If monthly definitely consider getting GAP issuance so that if parents do not pay or their son leaves the school the cost of the device is covered. Will you offer accidental damage insurance/extended warranty for the device if so price will be slightly increased however with Burnetts you get 3 accidental damages claims in a year per year. If you offer monthly contributions and parents fail to keep up with payments after two or three attempts of collections by Burnetts the school will need to chase parents/send out letters- is this something you are willing to do? We offered the above scheme however some parents fell on financial hard times and were not able to keep up with the monthly payments which meant that the school had to cover the cost as we did not want to take the device of the child(which we would have to do to claim the GAP insurance unless the child had left the school) so definitely something to consider. We will not be continuing with the scheme as it cost a lot more in the end then we thought and now parents either rent a device from the school or purchase a device outright form the school. My advice would be to make sure you read the agreement properly and understand what you are getting into. I know this is a lot so happy to talk though it with you if you would like.
  12. I am referring to the actual software on the printer. If you click on the first result on the search below hopefully this should point you in the right direction. https://www.google.com/search?biw=1680&bih=896&ei=NMCsXOuyL6ml1fAP7f6SgAg&q=papercut+hp+embedded+manual&oq=papercut+jp+embedded+manual&gs_l=psy-ab.1.0.0i13j0i8i13i30l2.4717.6587..7543...0.0..0.55.152.3......0....1..gws-wiz.......0i71j0i7i30j0i8i30.yqzEENv4n4Y
  13. I believe you have to upgrade Papercut Embedded on your printers. If you could tell me the model of your printer and i can provide a guide to do this.
  14. i should have been a little clearer about my setup. We have deployed Logic pro x via VPP as I was not aware of this issue. I thought that if I downloaded the content under an admin account that content would be available for all users that login using network accounts but of course it is not. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
  15. Hi, I am facing this issue now and was wondering how you managed to solve this.
  16. FYI the link to the post is invalid. I think the below is the correct link? https://www.eteach.com/job/it-and-network-services-manager-1032079?lang=en-GB&frmsrh=Y
  17. Hi, I am trying to deploy logic pro X via profile manager but the app does not seem to be deploying. I recently found that the APN certificate had expired and have renewed that so not sure if that was the issue. Any suggestions as to what I should do?
  18. Hi, I have been tasked with running a computer clubs for a group Yr 8`s and 9`s but have no idea what to do. Any suggestions?
  19. In relation to Stevecee message would anyone be willing to share how much they spend on printing so we can maybe compare and see if we are overspending: I will go first Provider: XMA Software Papercut Printers Status: Owned Number of printers: 3 MFP & 2 Laser Printers Cost to print in Black MFP 0.035 & 0.0099 on Laser Printers Cost to print in color: MFP 3.5P & 0.049 on Laser printers Number of pupils: 600 Number of staff: 65 Cost of printing yearly:£14000 Other 1:1 Chromebook School
  20. We are looking to change Backup providers and I was wondering where people would be willing to share who they use, How much space they are given as well as how much they pay so I have a few options. Thank you in advance!
  21. Hi, I am trying to customise the Dock so that certain applications are listed on the Dock. I have tried customising the Dock via profile manager but it does not seem like the changes have applied to the Macs. Does anyone have another method of doing this?
  22. After doing a lot of testing it turns out we do have a loop but not on the site where the internet has gone down but on the other site where the internet is up. I have had reconfigure the link between the two sites on another port. It seems that whenever I plug into the original port the port on the other site gets disabled because of STP, so the loop is on the other site. Seems I will have to unplug cable by cable as it is a mess here.
  23. Hi, The switches are managed so what command should I run to identify the loop. THere is a switch that is blinking faster than the other so for the time being as a test, if I was to power this switch down, would this resolve the issue?
  24. Apologies, i should have been clearer. The switch that the ethernet cable runs from to the ISP`s switch is a 8206ZL and on the other site a ethernet cable runs from the ISP`s ethernet switch to a HP Switch 2530
