  1. I think an admin fee is a fair request. If they have a legitimate need to get the information requested, they will be happy to pay it.
  2. The Ghost of Adam West?
  3. Do you need to install everything from the 3 DVDs? That sounds like a lot of bloatware to me.
  4. It's fairly common for Apple to drop legacy support for older devices more rapidly than Microsoft.
  5. The rot set in with Sibelius when they chose to go down the subscription/perpetual licence route a couple of years back. A £30 fee on top for support is just insulting. A pox on them.
  6. I'm very dubious of the new vinyl. I think it's more about making a buck on the back of nostalgia than delivering a quality product for consumers.
  7. The thing that makes me mad these day's isn't so much the recording format but how everything is turned up during the mixing phase. I think the rot set in with an Oasis album in the late 90's and music has sounded terrible ever since. Instruments no longer have the space to breathe on a recording. Some of the drumming on 60s & 70s albums sound amazing but i can barely differentiate them from everything else on modern recordings. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Loudness_war
  8. A long shot, but i was thinking maybe an arcade ROM. Google doesn't bring any results for Apollo II tho. https://www.google.co.uk/search?q=arcade+machine+rom&client=firefox-b&source=lnms&tbm=isch&sa=X&ved=0ahUKEwiSyZvuxI7UAhXkC8AKHX1qA70Q_AUICygC&biw=1284&bih=949#imgrc=gyHLN6KWbvaFdM: EDIT: Just took another look at the picture and it has Pertec stamped on it: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pertec_Computer
  9. You can never have too much toast. Marmalade however is the Devils food and should be avoided at all costs.
  10. Apollo Guidance Computer read-only rope memory Apollo Guidance Computer read-only rope memory - CHM Revolution
  11. It looks very iShiny. I can see why MS have done it but i suspect that most people who like their kit to be overly shiny & expensive go for Macs.
  12. RIP. Not as good as Connery but miles better than Lazenby.
  13. Not the same issue then.
  14. Not sure if it is a similar problem but a staff member brought a laptop in with a Start Menu issue a couple of days ago. It seemed to be an issue with the user, rather than the OS so i just created a new user for him.
  15. Room name, then incremental device number for that room. Eg, DT01-01. Laptops usually have LT- at the beginning.
  16. Have you tried using Space Sniffer to scan the users directory? SpaceSniffer, find lost disk space the easy way.
  17. There's rumours that he might have done a 'Michael Hutchence' but suicide would sound better in the press. I'm inclined to agree given that there were no signs of depression prior and he was in good spirits talking about later gigs during the concert. The autopsy also sounds a bit suspect.
  18. One of the great bands that came out of the 90s Grunge scene. He will be sorely missed. They haven't established the cause of death yet so it will be interesting to find out what happened.
  19. It is a big job, i think it took us 4-6 weeks during the summer when we upgraded all of the workstations from 3.5 to 4 in my previous school. That said, everything went very smoothly apart from some staff members coming in on the last week who stirred up a load of drama and trouble because we were too busy to help them with minor issues.
  20. You can track the number of payments made here: https://blockchain.info/address/115p7UMMngoj1pMvkpHijcRdfJNXj6LrLn Live map of infections: https://intel.malwaretech.com/WannaCrypt.html
  21. This opens up a whole can of worms because other staff members are likely to start asking for the same thing. Guest and Network WIFI are kept separate for good reasons.
