  1. Peter Rabbit, the missus enjoyed it, I enjoyed and the kids enjoyed it, well i assume they did, I was too busy laughing to notice, but I didn't hear them crying
  2. May the 24th in UK now
  3. I see what you mean, £25 roughly for kids content for a year, so then in your case that's £40 for the case and 2 year accidental, maybe depends how accident prone they are? and I guess the normal 8 isn't reduced enough to make it so appealing, which is a shame.
  4. funnily enough I went for two Kid version Fire 8s for 200 (normally 130 each) i was tempted by 7s but I heard that the 8 is worth the money for better screen and more capacity, especially as kids get older. the reviews I read said yes to go for child friendly for kids, as you get the 2 year accidental damage, and the kids content, and bumper, it has parental controls, and adverts are turned off
  5. we watched Blade Runner a few weeks ago, hadn'tseen it since I bought the definitive version or whatever it's called where hmv gave you free keyring of the car Anyway, we really enjoyed it again. However, last night we watched Blade Runner 2049, it looked very nice, and the score was excellent, but I'm one of the people who ended up being disappointed, too long, and got a bit bored, which was a shame, as I wanted to enjoy it
  6. Blade Runner, hadn't seen it since the Final Cut came out on DVD a few years ago, and didn't get round to seeing new one at the cinema so thought I should rewatch before watching the Blade Runner 2049 BD that arrived the other day, to remind myself what it's all about Enjoyed it, hopefuly will watch and enjoy 2049 next weekend.
  7. last 2 episodes of Inside No 9 tonight, they were good, last one was really good, nice and dark This series wasn't as good as previous ones though, but glad it's got another one coming.
  8. ‘Star Wars’: ‘Game of Thrones’ Creators to Write New Series – Variety “Game of Thrones” creators David Benioff and D.B. Weiss are going to write and produce a new series of “Star Wars” films, Disney announced on Tuesday.
  9. I remember seeing an interview with him on BBC News years ago, was surprised he was British, and he seemed really nice and charismatic, not like Frasier's dad at all, which is how most of us probably knew him Was interesting him talking about his stage career etc.
  10. didn't like the first episode of this series of Inside No 9, but I applaud them for doing something different, just wasn't our cup of tea, anyway, they've made up for it since Trying to avoid spoilers, love the way that it can go from being a serious drama, to slapstick, to normal comedy, then a very dark twist. We just watched the house selling one, then the wedding photographer one, which I thought started off slow, and was an OK drama about a couple's troubled relationship, then went to genius

    Stardew Valley

I've been meaning to get it for my missus, she played Harvest Moon and Animal Crossing so much on the GameCube, loved building her farms, and then getting upset when she hadn't played for a while so had to do lots of weeding
  12. There was a programme on BBC2 about Alan Partridge the other day, was quite interesting, and quite funny, then they showed Alan Partridge: Alpha Papa last night. It was OK 6/10.
  13. Bad Santa - 8/10 Not watched it in a few years, I had forgotten how funny it is, and the kid is brilliant
  14. does eventvwr say anything helpful?
  15. you've hit the nail on the head there getting into work today chatting to someone else, and some of his thoughts exactly same as mine, watching it again maybe I'll enjoy it more 'cos I'll be able to just enjoy the fun bits?
  16. No Mortal Engines, when I just saw Ep 8 at Imax 3d Odeon, Ready Player 1, Maze Runner, Lara Croft and Black Panther trailers. I love Star Wars, even Ep1, but this one I dunno, bits I loved, the action, the humour, nods to old films, but certain just didn't sit right, had me head scratching and I think stopped my enjoyment to a certain extent
  17. If you check one of the online providers/aggregators there's various windows/bands, the argument being the more miles you do, the more likely you are to have an accident (let's ignore the argument the more miles you do the more experienced you are so less likely to have an accident ) Remember, it's an insurance company, if they can wiggle out of paying out they will Some things you need to tell them, but they won't always put the price up, for example I had Social domestic and pleasure, and added commuting when I needed to drive to work, then later phoned up to include occasional driving to other sites as part of work, which had to go on the policy, but didn't increase premium, but if I hadn't told them, and had had an accident driving from one site to another, they wouldn't have to pay out.
  18. I've seen on hotukdeals a few round the £100 mark, and some interesting discussions about them https://www.hotukdeals.com/deals/anet-a8-desktop-3d-printer-eu-plug-for-9169-using-code-gearbest-2814167 those round £100 do seem more aimed at enthusiast who wants to tinker, £400 seems a bit more like being as usable an off the shelf HP inkjet from PCWorld
  19. When the missus and I see a sequel at the cinema, we watch the earlier films in the series to remind ourselves of events, this means Saw is most probably my most watched DVD however the fine ppl at IGN have meant that I can enjoy the first couple but don't have to put myself through the pain of the last few again before seeing the new one Saw's Complicated Story in 5 Minutes (Sort Of) - IGN Video
  20. I use both, depending on what mood I'm in

  23. sad breaking news Sean Hughes: Comedian dies aged 51 - BBC News whenever I meet someone called Sean I can't help but sing "It's Seany's show" in my head
  24. Booked my tickets I logged in early like I did last year, to get ready, and again, like last year Odeon started selling them early
