  1. Got a few machines here that notification bar wasn't working, others with same problem but also affecting Search and others affecting Start Menu as well? It's all random but all error's pointing to faulting module name : kernelbase.dll, Event ID 1000, tried to copy a new kernelbase over but will not allow me to, tried SFC, tried fixing apps not working troubleshooting. Was told this command fixes notifications - "Get-AppxPackage | % { Add-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register "$($_.InstallLocation)\AppxManifest.xml" -verbose }" Tried it on mine as notifications wasn't working, now all 3 don't work and I basically don't have much hair left! Support say, fresh install I have attached the event viewerSearch & Notificatins Error.7z log. Any help will be gratefully received. TIA
  2. Thanks everyone, got this fix of someone and so far seemed to have sorted on the machines I've tested so far (fingers crossed) Make sure passive probing be enabled as well. In case active probing fails, passive probing can also detect internet unless it’s disabled by GPO. Check below to make sure you didn’t disable passive probing. If it is, enable it and test again.Group Policy path: Computer Configuration\Administrative Templates\Network\Network Connectivity Status Indicatorsetting: "Specify passive polling" = Enabled, uncheck "Disable passive polling"Locate gpedit.msc. The setting for gpedit.msc within "Computer Configuration -> Administrative Templates -> Network -> Network Connectivity Status Indicator".Enable the 'Specify Global DNS' setting.
  3. Since moving up to 20H2 in our school we have an issue with most machines showing "no internet access" disconnected icon, this now stops outlook and adobe from working properly due to them thinking that you are offline. Thanks
  4. Hi, did you manage to resolve this problem? We have currently moved to 20H2 and it still seems to be a big problem, most machines here are showing no internet access. Thanks
  5. No it will not work, built an image here and tried it and get an error with wrong version, phoned HWB and they send that you're only suppose to use the VLSC discs as it's got something built in (no idea). So asked again about getting access to the software and again they said whoever supports the school! They only have access to the original Windows 10 not different versions??
  6. It's not only the welsh now! The Windows ISO's don't work with KMS, so have to get them from VLSC! No one has thought of this. Take care
  7. sorry took that the wrong way! Been a tough few months getting nowhere
  8. Thanks everyone for your help! But it seems we are stuffed here at the moment. The ISO's I've downloaded with Update Assistant won't even activate with HWB's KMS server, so not only we can't get the APPX's but can't even get the latest Windows 10 version
  9. Sud mai @garethedmondson - apparently not! Was hoping someone had the two multilaguage ISO's and would be able to extract the two APPX's. I've tried extracting from an installation but not sure it worked correctly, as I'm still getting Welcome and Preparing Windows when logging in even though it show's the Welsh is there. Thanks
  10. Not had a chance, will give it a go later. Thanks
  11. What's so hilarious
  12. Thank you for your help and advise! Looks like I'll have to give that a go, after I figure out how Thanks
  13. I've managed to download the ISO's 32 and 64Bit with the update assistant, that wasn't a problem. But you can only get the APPX from the Multi language ISO's from the VLSC which we don't have access to. Been in touch with HWB and they don't supply them and don't have access to it. So don't think no one has thought about this till now. The licences are picked up with a KMS server that points to HWB. Thanks
  14. Does anyone know of a way we can get hold of the Welsh APPX 32 & 64Bit? HWB are now paying for Microsoft Licences through Wales so as a school we no longer have access to VLSC to download language packs. We have been stuck on 1803 and unable to move forward, I'm now ready to create a new 2004 image but want it in Welsh and have to have the APPX. TIA
  15. Oh my god! That simple could not see it at all and never even came to me that it was just not compatible DUH! Thanks for taking the time to help me so much appreciated! I just can't believe that Jamf's answer was "you do not have the correct licence to contact us and by the way you aren't installing apps correctly" with no advise on what's the best practice on installing apps! Thanks again
  16. No all in date, I even went as far as renew them all in case
  17. Hi, for the last year we have been using Apple School Manager and Jamf without any issues. Now for some reason Apps will not install on our iPad's, can't get any support from Jamf something to do with our licence! Recently purchased AR Makr app in ASM, they've appeared in Jamf and I've given them the scope of iPad's I want it installed on and all iPad's are stuck in Installing, with this message In this state, we are waiting for an update from the device. Never had this issue before and can't seem to find anything about it! Thank you
  18. Since we started back last week in school I'm having an issue with printers not deploying properly. I use Group Policy to deploy and not changed a thing over summer, now when loggin on to a machine I get Event ID 4098. The user 'HP-YstA' preference item in the 'Printers & Drives {4E6FD393-5080-4BBB-B4B7-8617E81D7134}' Group Policy Object did not apply because it failed with error code '0x800703eb Cannot complete this function.' This error was suppressed.
  19. No, could be a blank one with just a little text or it could have photos on it, it just throws out a page every 5 minutes??
  20. Done all that, it's just weird that it's only with Powerpoint! Thanks
  21. We have gone over to office 2016 now in our school and started to have issues with PowerPoint printing really slow (1 page per 5 minutes) but prints fine from Word. It's a HP LaserJet Pro 300 conected via USB on 2 different machines but it's really slow from PowerPoint?? Thanks
  22. Thank you, just the sound to try and sort now ;-)
  23. Thanks, throw away isn't really an option (poor school) the vista graphics drivers cause it to blue screen, wondering if the basic display driver was ok to use, it's the sound that's the biggest problem! Thanks anyway
