  1. How to Create a New Boot WIM Image from ADK with SCCM 2012 SP1 & R2 (#sccm #sysctr) - System Center Central
  2. Anything in the distmgr.log file? If you upload it I'll have a quick look
  3. Looks like it's already distributed, try updating the distribution points
  4. Are you using roaming profiles for RDPing? Have you checked the AD tab Remote Desktop Services Profile settings?
  5. Oh and if that doesn't work then try recreating the boot media
  6. I would recommend what sparkeh has said. This would probably resolve your problem, I've just added some more steps which I have used previously. untick the enable PXE checkbox on the distribution point. Answer yes that you want to remove the Windows Deployment service. remove your boot images from your distribution point After 5 minutes. Delete %windir%\temp check with server manager if you can add/remove roles on the server. If WDS is done uninstalling there is a pending boot.Reboot!!! check if the remoteinstall folder is located on your system. If it is delete it. reboot Add the PXE point again by checking the box on the distribution point properties. Check the distrmgr.log and see if the remoteinstall folder reappers.. Send the boot images to the distribution points again. https://www.windows-noob.com/forums/topic/6447-sccm-2012-pxe-point-reinstall/
  7. What seems to be the issue with SCCM? I don't think there's much you'll need to do to recreate the SCCM install. I think it does all the DHCP and PXE stuff automatically when you install a new version.
  8. I'd recommend trying the 32bit even if you're running 64bit OS. There can be some odd issues with 64bit Office products. For example VBA code, Sharepoint, Office extensions and Office controls with no 64 bit alternative Edit: There's not much that's offered in 64 bit over 32bit for Office 2010. https://support.office.com/en-gb/article/Choose-between-the-64-bit-or-32-bit-version-of-Office-2dee7807-8f95-4d0c-b5fe-6c6f49b8d261?ui=en-US&rs=en-GB&ad=GB#32or64Bit=2010
  9. Office 2010 32 or 64 bit? Is it the same even for the local admin?
  10. Have you tried clearing her Microsoft Office profile? Worth a shot, might be something else corrupted in there. I presume it works normally for a different user?
  11. Is this for Win 7? OSDPreserveDriveLetter=false
  12. Sometimes starting from fresh can be easier, I've not had to do this process itself but have moved from an RM system to vanilla. Which is a similar approach you're doing, starting from scratch and then transferring everything over.
  13. I would agree, my image contains Windows and the updates, no software. The updates then gets installed on the wim file offline so the image is kept up to date with the updates, saving time. But on another note, I'd try disabling all drivers, then test that. The only time I've had a black screen is either driver issue or HDD/RAM fault.
  14. Are you able to boot in safe mode? If so maybe review the event logs in safe mode? Or the build logs during deployment?
  15. Bit of a trek for you! But congrats on finding it, annoying to find strange things happening.
  16. I found these two links useful: https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/security/ms17-010.aspx https://gallery.technet.microsoft.com/scriptcenter/Powershell-Query-a-patch-67cf35f8
  17. Could it be to do with the graphics driver?
  18. This used to be quite common setup in schools (a curriculum domain and an academic domain). @mrwoberts Just wondering how you got on with this task? Or if you need any further assistance?
  19. Not sure if you still need it but have you looked at countifs? =COUNTIFS(f1:f5,"Y",B1:B6,100, a1:a5,"Fred")
  20. Long shot here but there's an option on Outlook to "leave a copy of the messages on the server". Check that this is ticked or not.
  21. Hey all, Just curious, I'm going to make a few changes (one being the transfer of file from one server to another due to it starting to fail). If I do this change, and update group policy pointing the drive mappings to the new server would the teachers get the GPO updates on their laptops if they log out/in again while at home? Thanks,
  22. You might need to import a module? Maybe SCCM isn't automatically installing a required module? Not sure which though
  23. Is this a hyperlink within a document? Could be a security thing? Or try resetting the IE settings/clear the profile etc.
  24. have you tried running the gpresult /h on the laptop? It might help show what's happening?
