  1. did you change the vlan tag within the ZD for the Managment? or did you leave it to the default vlan?
  2. Hi, so you have your ZD in vlan 10, is this port tagged or untagged? I would make sure this port is untagged in vlan 10, AP's you have these in vlan 1? again is this tagged or untagged? i would usally put the AP management vlan as untagges and the SSID vlans as tagged on the AP ports, as you have the AP's in a different vlan than the ZD i would also create a DNS A record for the ZD as zonedirector.FQDN > ZD IP ADDRESS.
  3. Hi Smee, if your network is flat (No Vlans) then it really should be plug and play. Connect the AP to network and power the AP will then find the ZD and as long as you have automatically approve AP's i will join the ZD (AP Licence depending) and download the ZD fw. On the AP you should see the DIR light go solid once connected and up and running. If DIR is flashing it either can't find the ZD or still updating fw. if you have vlans on the network i would create a DNS entry of ZoneDirector.FQDN to the ip of the ZD this will then allow the AP to find the ZD on the network. Give me a PM if you need any more. Eric
  4. Hi Divaldo, a few things to check. 1. AP ports make sure there tagged for all the new vlans. 2. the subnet looks wrong for that vlan (255.255.255.128) thats only 128 devices is that right? 3. can the DHCP ping 10.56.131.1 ? if not whats the IP of the core switch? is the gw of the DHCP pointing to the IP address of the core switch is there in the same vlan. if you want me to take a look over your full config send me a PM. Eric
  5. Cant remember if its there for 9.9 but if it is it will be Configure > Guest Access > Guest Access Service, edit your service and check the Session, you will only see this if you have "Enable Guestpass Self Service" ticked. Eric
  6. Morning, what firmware version are you running on your ZD?, have you tried upping the Grace Period under advance option on the SSID? Also check the Guest Access Service and make sure you havent got any session termination settings configured. Eric
  7. Hi Tammie, have you tried enabling Multicast routing / PIM on your core switch? Regards Eric
  8. When you say you had to upgrade to version 10 do you mean 9.10? have you tried factory resetting the AP then when a standalone re-firmware the AP with the 100.1.0.0.500 image then once thats upgraded then re-connect it to your network. You say you have a flat network? Eric
  9. What version of code are you trying to provission to the AP's? Are you holding in the reset for more than 10sec to do a full factory reset.?, after you factory reset if you connect the AP's to your laptop do you get the Standalone WEB GUI. Eric
  10. Hi, is your network flat or vlan'ed? if vlan'ed have you made sure all the vlans are correctly tagged. Have you tried other device in that area? if so do they work? how have you got the Channels setup on Ruckus / your endpoints are they set to Auto? Eric
  11. There a few things you could check out, like the previous post check the cable, also is the AP plugged into a POE switch or into Power Injector?, what link speed are you getting on your switch port? What firmware are you running? I would make sure your on 9.8.3.0.14. Is the newtwork flat or Vlan's? do you have any ACL's applyed? Regards Eric
  12. Are you still having issues with this?
  13. Have you thought about using Allied Telesis something like AT-GS924MPX. If you would like some more information or a price just send me over a PM. Regards Eric MacFarlane
  14. Hi maxrebo, when i used to work in the FE Sector i used to look at support/warranty for the switches as well as functionality. We used to have a mix of 3com edge and core switches accross our 4 campuses. We found that once HP bought out 3com support for the 3com devices become limited then stopped. We then had to look at replacing our switches so we could get replacements. If you are interested at looking at new switching would you be open to Allied Telesis or even Juniper Networks? if so send me a PM. 15. Hi MS, This is Eric from Net-Ctrl this is quite straight forward on setting up the vlans on both Site A and Site B and routing them between all the switches. We can do this by either adding extra ip ranges or we can carve up your existing /21 address into small ranges all depending what address size you need per vlan. if you would like to talk in more detail in what we can offer please feel free to PM me or email me [email protected] Best regards, Eric MacFarlane Pre/Post Sale Technician T: 01473 281 211 W: www.net-ctrl.com
