  1. Merry Christmas
  2. Can I do that while I'm using the image or would I have to do that after I have captured it?
  3. I'm creating a Windows 10 1709 reference image but I'm having an issue with installing Microsoft .Net 2.0. I have two programs that require it, those are Password Control and NaroCAD. I've downloaded the version the version from the Microsoft website and by using Programs and features in the Control Panel. Every time I get the following error message. ".net Framework 3.5 could not be installed 0x800f081f" Any help would be appreciated. I'm using Windows 10 Pro
  4. Like @LeMarchand said, Try scheduling a task that runs the script through GPO Preferences.
  5. Ah. It's working. I just unticked 'Login authentication' and now it works a charm.
  6. I was trying to install it silently last week but couldn't get it working so I installed it manually
  7. It's really annoying because this is the only problem I'm having.
  8. I'm using iTalc. I've tried Veyon but could not get it working for the life of me.
  9. Hey, I'm trying to setup iTalc again because since we moved to a domain in the summer, we've not been using remote view software. I've got it working on two computers. However, when I click on a computer I get this on both my teacher and student computer. I don't really want this appearing on any computers. I've regenerated the public key still no joy. If you do click 'Yes' on both computers, it works. Thank you
  10. Managed to get the XAMPP solution to work. I created a mapped drive for //localhost/c$/XAMPP/htdocs. It seems to work very well.
  11. The students will just be making websites with PHP. They don't need access to files like php.ini. I'll try tomorrow to configure something like this on a Linux computer.
  12. Would I able for those users directories to point to a folder in user home drives?
  13. Instead of using individual memory sticks, could I be able to just put XAMPP into a shared folder? My only thought would be could multiple users use the same install at once?
  14. I'm not sure on which route to take for a web development server for the students. Many seem to use VMs but I think our machines would rapidly slow down. (2GB memory). Then I was thinking of implementing something like XAMPP or WAMP as they seem to work well. The only issue would be that the students have no direct access to the C drive. Not sure whether I could share the folder out then create a mapped drive with a GPO to point to the //localhost/htdocs share. Any other way of doing this, before I go start implementing it.
  15. Somehow, it's fixed. Just used delprof2, remove appx packages and it seems to be working perfectly fine.
  16. Managed to get it to work, but my desktop icons are back from when I removed them the other day. Am I going to have to live with the public desktop if I want the start menu redirected?
  17. I have an issue with the Start Menu where it does not seem to redirect. I've checked the share permission, they should all work. Read only for everyone. Also unticked the 'Grant user exclusive rights' but after a restart on the client, it did not seem to work. Any thoughts?
  18. That seems to have fixed it. Thank you
  19. Hello, One of the really annoying things that I can't seem to get fixed is that I want to hide all of the Public Desktop icons and just display the ones I have set in Group Policy. I've tried creating a script in batch but it doesn't seem to work. Also, I've tried removing the folder in Group Policy but that also seems to get me nowhere. Any ideas?
  20. I've not but I'll check it out and see how I do.
  21. I've performed a re-image on a test machine but couldn't get the machine to accept any of my domain join credentials so I continued with the deployment and domain joined it afterwards. How would I go about this? At first login to the machine after deployment, it sets my DNS and uses Offline Domain Join to request to join the domain. Would I use batch to do both the things?
  22. @computer_expert I followed the post but did not install the System Center Toolkit or any of the WSUS stuff as we don't have either of those. Do I need them?
  23. OK. Thanks, @computer_expert. I'll try tomorrow and let you know how I get on.
