Yeah but again she only created the document and deleted it yesterday and the most recent previous version is the 10th.. I've come to the conclusion that if Recuva doesn't find anything then its either inaccessible or been deleted

Not really a book person (everybody keeps saying I should read more) but I just don't get a thrill out of it like most people do. (my last manager read 11 books over the 6 weeks holiday) Here's me reading Guy Martin and I'm only 40 pages in after 2 weeks haha

I'd be up for this if it was within the North West of close to it. Although I wouldn't mind a national meet once every couple of years etc in a fairly centralised place to everybody

This is what I was thinking and the only previous version was several days ago not yesterday. Seems like a lost cause..

Hi All, Unusual request today, a teacher deleted a file from her desktop folder and now wants it back as she "deleted the wrong one" the only problem is that they don't get a recycle bin icon and cannot access it through windows explorer. Does that mean the file doesn't go to the recycle bin or they cannot retrieve the file? I'm currently running Recuva on it deeply so is taking an hour or two I was just curious in the time being if there is a faster way?

Have someone hold all but one ball. Then approach them with the other ball and put it on top explaining why this is the most important.

We had this problem with a few of our printers. The issue was that there was too much paper in the tray for feeder that had been hammered and lost its "stickiness" to pull more than one sheet at a time causing blank pages to come out. Good to see you found the solution though and the Dilbert comics are hilarious

I've used ESET for many years now and never had a problem, sure it costs each year but for peace of mind it's well worth it.

How to print from Ipad to windows print server
ben_mayo replied to genesis's topic in Learning Network Manager
We just use the functionality of Bonjour to print to our MFP's. We have Ricoh MFP's so they download the Ricoh printing app and input their username and pin (which tracks their printing) this way there is always a log on the printers as to how much staff are printing whether from pc's, laptops or ipads. and they can't access anything else besides printing on the network from the ipads either, so security wise we are fine -
We use BGinfo customised to show our school logo in the middle of the desktop with the computer name and the date and time the user logged on.

Hey all, Having a weird problem where some of the schools pcs in the lower end take forever to load photos located in a folder on the server. But I've checked the pc's and the switch they run to for any backlogs but there are non. The weird part is that other pc's in the same area work perfectly fine and they are all the same machines... Any ideas on this one?

Youtube - Who has access to it?
ben_mayo replied to rad's topic in Internet Related/Filtering/Firewall
Yeah Bing did used to be a bit... well lets just not go there. But it seems our local LEA hasn't really caught up with the times and so many random keywords and websites which could be useful for education are blocked. (there are ways around this, but I'm on the only one that does it) I do prefer Bing over Google most of the time unless I'm doing a very specific search, but still when the schools "Kids Search" uses Bing it's a bit of a pain when they can't look at images -
Youtube - Who has access to it?
ben_mayo replied to rad's topic in Internet Related/Filtering/Firewall
No-one has access to it either, not even myself. It's blocked by our LEA as is a lot of other things that don't really make any sense. I'll give you an example though... Want to search for images using Bing? Blocked But Google images works fine -
Do you consider "WWW" and "The internet" two separate things?
ben_mayo replied to Duranis's topic in General Chat
I don't get asked about the WWW really at all, its as if the word Internet has taken over the terminology of anything that is online (and some stuff that isn't but they just say internet anyway). If anybody does ask I just refer to it as a protocol and they tend to just go quiet with a blank expression. I could go into more detail but I already know they aren't interested so just chuck a technical term out there to throw them off. -
I've found that the gear changes differ depending on how you are driving. If you're casually increasing to the speed limit it'll tell you to change earlier. But I've had it where I've been going from a red light to a 40/50 zone and if I'm accelerating faster it'll tell me to change up slightly later up the rev range. For the most part though, I've come to ignore the gear change as its not really noticeable if you don't look at your dash a lot and after a while you get to feel for when you change up and down depending on how you want to drive. One thing is for sure the sudden power still surprises me which I love.

If I really was bothered about fuel economy which 60% of the time I'm not (sometimes I'll drive eco on some trips to work) my 1.0 I could get close to 50MPG maybe 47-48? But I just don't drive like that at all so I get around 41-42 and I mostly drive aggressively such as pushing it to the speed limit then backing off. So 42MPG isn't bad compared to my 1.2 Clio I couldn't get past 38MPG on a smaller/less heavy car. The focus drives in economy mode all the time anyway, so it is always constantly monitoring itself, but doesn't interfere in driving just offer different points in which to change gear
-
Not that I've seen so far. I don't find myself changing up and down a lot unless I need more power to get past something then changing down 1 or 2 gears usually does the job. This is obviously from a 1.0 Ecoboost perspective though, they do a 1.6 Ecoboost model too with 182BHP so it would probably be different in that car.

I've only ever used two systems one being Impero and the other being ABTutor. Both have their advantages and disadvantages, I personally prefer AB as I knew the in's and out's of that program and could do a lot with it. Still getting used to Impero but so far it can also do a lot. Its personal preference really.

The only thing I can think of is that you are getting a temporary file downloaded which is then allowing you to open, save or cancel it. Where as it seems they only have the option to save it first. Can they open it after they have saved it, or does open not appear then either? Not too sure what could be causing this, maybe someone who knows server more in depth will know about it.

Application/Website to Manage & Tag Photos
ben_mayo replied to michaelf's topic in How do you do....it?
Could you not just use OneDrive for the storage? I think it has intelligent tagging where it groups hidden tags together (think the pictures have to be named similar though) such as Shakespeare all the pictures when searched will show up. Not so used to programs to do this, they tend to just want a place to upload photos too. -
We have an option when they remote in to choose either desktop or sims depending on what they wanted to do. Think it was all controlled by RDP access though.

Not really very helpful but we replaced the whole catering system at my old job as cunninghams wanted close to what you could probably win on the lottery to do simple upgrades or add additional stuff. We sourced around other suppliers and ended up using a company called LiveRegister, they were considerably cheaper to replace everything than cunninghams was to do simple stuff. May be worth a look if you're ever looking to replace equipment.

It sounds as though it isn't notifying you once the download is complete (strange how the save and cancel button stay on though). This setting is in the Internet Options > Advanced under Browsing. Its also in the same place in a GPO. Could be worth checking, not sure otherwise if it isn't this. But I'm sure someone else would.

Last game I bought was: Lego Movie The Game (trying to complete it 100%, think I'm at about 40-50%) Last game I completed (and I mean 100%): Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 (took me like 12 times to complete the end plane scene)
