I have experienced this issue for about a month or so now. I had an inkling that Senso might be the cause and after I reached out to their support, they confirmed it. The app logging seems to be crashing explorer.exe after logging in. They said the only thing you can do is disable app logging in any policies and that they have no fix for this right now (and no ETA).

We use a central settings storage location on our file server, each users SettingsPackage folder is somewhere between 15-25MB. We do use a few custom templates which probably adds to the size each user needs.

I don't suppose you use a Google Chrome template at all? I've had nothing but issues trying to get Google Chrome settings to sync whereas other templates have been perfectly fine.

I had the same problem with printers not deploying correctly, it's just one of those things that users rely on too much so we ended up getting print management software to resolve the problem. Whilst GPP did seem buggy in terms of deployment I must say we have no issue with deploying some of our fiddly printers via vbs script.

We have a task that applies the ApplySettingsTemplateCatalog.exe upon log on/off. The default Microsoft templates are copied to the template catalogue. I just started trialing Folder Redirection using W10 1703 Edu and I have only encountered one error which the "wait for network on computer startup and logon" gpo seemed to fix. Tried logging on to a computer with W10 1703 Pro and it didn't work for me. Hope that is of some use to you

I'm afraid not, I have tried all sorts of solutions but the only thing that made sense was it being an issue on Microsoft's end. It seems to occur to those using Azure AD Connect and still wasn't working for us after disabling Password Sync. I'm just waiting for this to be addressed by somebody with more time on their hands and more knowledge so I can take the information back to Microsoft. I have been experiencing an error that is really annoying myself and members of staff for the last 6 weeks. Upon logging in to Office 365 using Google Chrome the user will receive the following message for the first sign-in attempt. I've exhaustively narrowed down the possibilities and I seem to have found a link but I can't quite put my finger on the specific problem. If moved from one OU structure to another one that has the exact same GPO's then it works fine (and the error message returns on moving it back to the original OU). I have found this article on Google but I don't see anything of use to my situation. I'll be amazed if it does get fixed if I'm being honest, the amount of bugs that have been "fixed" but still seem to exist are enough for me to be skeptical. If you upgrade from one relatively "stable" build it just introduces a bunch of other issues - and so the cycle continues.

Not seen a single issue with it since we moved to W10 Edu x64 in the 7 months we have had it.

We deploy Impero outside of our W10 build and still experience the same issues as everyone. Impero kinda makes it difficult to troubleshoot issues as I never know if the problem is going to be Impero or W10 related..

Just confirming this has happened a few times to my test station for 1703 using the upgrade assistant. I'm gonna hold back on deployment until it's fixed.

How do you deploy your shortcuts within the typical "All Programs" style from previous Windows operating systems with a Mandatory profile? We have the shortcuts on the right side of the start menu deployed through the start menu GP but this doesn't affect the list of shortcuts on the left of the start menu.

This may be helpful Please be aware if you copy the unattend.xml from his blog in the description that the formatting pasted incorrectly and I referenced his video to make sure it was correct line by line. I think I had to replace all the quotation marks and there were a few extra characters that didn't belong if I remember correctly!

I'm not sure if this is an issue anybody else is having but we have an issue with an account writing back to the "Settings Storage Path" that has been entered within Group Policy. When checking the logs within Event Viewer it shows that the user settings are trying to write back to the shared network location of our Mandatory Profiles rather than the "UEV Settings" network share that has been set within Group Policy. We use different mandatory profiles for different users (staff, students, guests) with the desktop/start menu shortcuts being placed within AppData for each profile so users only see the programs they need access to. Our problem is the Settings aren't getting saved to the UEVSettings share specified by the "Settings Storage Path" GPO under User Config and we can't rely on using the default profile as it has not been put in to our W10 build and we need a different desktop/start menu for various users. I'm a bit confused so apologies if I'm missing something obvious

Is there much of a difference between using Print Management and GPP? I'm also looking to share local USB HP laserjet printers and deploy them with GPP but I admittedly haven't spent a great deal of time testing this yet, has anybody had any success with this?

We currently have issues with printers randomly disappearing after windows updates and then needing a gpupdate /force to be reapplied. The printers deploy most of the time but we are getting calls of one or two printers a day that are not being deployed correctly. We are on 1607 builds, the printers are deployed through computer configuration on print management, the drivers have had the registry tweak to make them packaged drivers and point and print restrictions have been disabled. We're at a loss really and would like any suggestions on software that can reliably deploy printers on W10 1607. Much appreciated. Sam

I'm afraid I can't help with the specifics of the issue as we didn't spend time trying to diagnose it because it was quicker for us to create/deploy an MDT image. I would try testing an image created in MDT and see if it has the same effect, it certainly fixed it for us.

What method did you use to build your Windows 10 machines? We had the same issue when we used Macrium Reflect to copy a virtual machine and deployed the image to a few test machines. We soon swapped to builds using MDT and have worked fine ever since.

Yeah seems to be between 20-30 seconds for us too which isn't much of a problem.
