Id just like to add that Craig has done a great job for me, over the last 3 months he has been hosting the EduMoodle Theme for me completly free of charge. Craig has actually occasionally dropped me an email to see if everything is ok, added databases when i've been looking a bit short and even reset the bandwidth limits for me. In 3 months the EduMoodle Theme has been downloaded 2250 times and the site has been visited by over 5000 users from around the world. Can anyone help me (mathematicians) calculate and understand how buying and selling stock effects the profit, i'll explain below: I buy 100 shares @ $15 per share, $1500 = This costs me £997.30 GBP at an exchange rate of 1.52315 with £12.50 transaction fee. I sell my 100 shares @ %17.75 per share, $1775 = This gives me £1053.06 at an exchange rate of 1.66579 with £12.50 transaction fee. So profit of about £50.00? But I don't understand it all, I made $275 and the exchange rate at 1.66? Should i get more?

Has anyone total'd up the cost of hosting moodle internally? E.g the actual cost of running and maintaining the server?

By any chance did you use the import function in moodle to import the forum into this course from another? Sometimes the import function can cause this? What version of moodle are you using?

We currently use: Face-to-Face module - Used for CPD. Feedback - Essential module i believe, here you can gain quick wins with staff who want to use the 'Quiz' module but find it a bit complicated. Lightbox - Looks good Slideshow - Has more teaching and learning value Podcast Module - for languages I've also installed another module which is more for the administration side of things, I cant remember what its called right now but if anyones interested drop me a PM. The module allows the administrator to set 'Default' settings for new courses, this allows me to give more staff course creator abilities but also allows me to cut down the course setings page for staff as all the default settings i apply disappear from the settings screen for staff. The settings are category based so i cant set courses up by default for each subject area and subject areas ICT ability. As they ask questions I allow them to control more and more settings to logically solve there problems rather than me doing it for them,

Id suggest calling Dell, I have heard previously that Dell have been able to 'assist' with this in some way? You will need to provide ownership and you may have to pay a small fee..... Or: OME Dell laptops have only used CMOS-based passwords. To clear these, all you have to do is reset the CMOS. On most Dell laptops you do this by unplugging the A/C adapter, removing the battery (the laptop's battery - not the CMOS battery), and holding the power switch for 30 seconds (I think it's actually 10 or 15 -- but longer is better to be sure). Or: There should be a number displayed on the password entry page, you could drop that number to me in a PM and i might be able to help further? Im looking for (web based proffered) system which will allow our head of Performance Management to track PM process and progress. The process is as follows, Teacher makes a request to go on a course Head of PM makes a decision based on relevance of the course If agreed Cover also has to be confirmed (By another member of staff) Head then signs it all off Were looking for a web based system which can hold this information but also allow each different member of staff to login, book, confirm, agree to cover, and head sign off. Then generate reports based on PM turned down, amount allowed etcc Anyone got any ideas? Might be we need to customise an existing product which does a similar thing? Basically want a booking system? I have a DB with two tables in it, one called Subjects and there called Subject Descriptions: Subjects: Column 1 = SubjectID Column 2 = Subject SubjectDescriptions: Column 1 = SubjectID Column 2 = Year (This just details which year the description relates to) Column 3 = SubjectDescription I want to 'Select * SubjectDescription from SubjectDescriptions' E.g. 1,Y7,Maths is about Numbers and stuff But I then want to change the SubjectID to the name of the subject, and icant for the life of me remember how? can anyone help?

I have heard of a school using a product called i2report, or ireport i think this is there website i think: i2Q education : i2Report Basically you can extract data from SIMS then display it in there system, i think its designed for school reports but you could use the templates to display MYDIS data and SIMS data then add forms to the template for teacher submission? Its web based, but im not ssure about cost?

The webpage is create like so: Header ---- Content (This html here is generated dynamically whereas header is hard coded) -- Footer But each letter calls the Header when it gets generated so you end up with multiple headers on a single page. Trouble is the header html does not get parsed so i cant do anything dynamic there, E.g generate a count based on how many letters are to be printed and only print the header based on that number. Would it be possible to count the number of 'Header's put them into an array with a count and output that value back to the class on page load?

I have some HTML: School Logo some text School Logo some text It repeats through the webpage putting a header div in to show the school logo. This is basically a very simple way of printing letter heads with content generated inside each "content" div. What I want to be able to do is print the First occurance of "header" but when multiple occurances of "header" are on the page I want it to ignore them all but the first one. What i would like to do is to add some javascript which will add a count to the div, School Logo some text School Logo some text And when the COUNT > 1 make "Header" invisible: .header { display: none; (Or similar) } Can anyone help?

When I search for Edugeek using Google in Firefox 3.0.1 and then click on the listing in Google I get the message: Prefetching is not allowed due to the various privacy issues that arise. And cannot get to EduGeek. However i do not get this problem using IE6/7.
