  1. Is it open source though?
  2. To me, I still would say this is a major design flaw. I mean who doesn't have a screen protector these days on a new phone?
  3. To be fair, it's not brand sparkly new, it's pre-owned and they have a max budget. In this world of cut backs to public services, lots of us need reliable cars to get around... shhhh @Boredguy.
  4. We're nearly in 2020... gender stereotypes are so last century.
  5. Hardly a ringing endorsement of Open Source software either in that thread.
  6. And then they send you e-mails weeks later saying your car has gone up in value.
  7. I'm not too sure about that...
  8. Richard Branson isn't going around the world in a hot air balloon again is he?
  9. Send it my way.
  10. Starring in a Doctor Who special are we?
  11. Well, yeah, not just open source I guess, but mostly Free software suffers more. I try and avoid google... but point well taken.
  12. Until they change the syntax, the way things work, or the language, or add a new 'feature' which causes issues with no warning. I think there is a place for both open source and close source. Love the idea of open source, but the people... sometimes companies... behind them don't always have the big bucks behind them as the close source companies. I would say if you are using open source and the creators have a donation option, it would be a good idea to donate to help the projects going.
  13. Dates? Plural? You're bring down multiple? With regard to me I will need to request the day whenever it is anyway, so will keep an eye on the thread.
  14. Not sure if related, but I have had issues accessing shares on Windows 10 devices from Macs... maybe there is something that is now breaking communication with the latest Windows OSes.
  15. Have you tried GNUCash? Looks like it will open OFX files. https://gnucash.org/
  16. Taken from https://status.exa.net.uk/incidents/223#update-82
  17. It's ok, the first video, the Mac was an old turned off unit. The second video... it's running Windows XP... errrr... honest gov...
  18. Well... Microsoft's 'fix' didn't work, issue came back again. What worked (tested for 3 weeks) was changing the permissions on the key. HKEY_USERS\S-1-5-19\Software\Classes\Local Settings\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\AppContainer\Mappings First I deleted all the entries. Then I turned off permission inheritance, removed all items. Added in Allow Administrators, which I gave full control. And I added in Deny SYSTEM and Deny Authenticated Users with the permissions below. I also set a Group Policy Preference to Replace the Mappings registry key, so it would be reset regularly, just in case.
  19. Recalling previous updates on the Exa status page, it appears to be certain customers being targeted. @exa_mark would most likely know more.
  20. I don't think so... it sounds like they are allowing programs to be installed on these devices were RT would only allow Apps. Though of course the phone, which is Android wouldn't be able to run those... but at least it will have a much wider collection of Apps.

  22. A Microsoft Event is happening in the next 25 minutes (10:00 ET / 15:00 BST). Given the hyperlink it looks like it's going to be looking at their Surface range, but who knows, might talk about the next update to Windows 10. https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/surface/microsoftevent
