  1. @Mr Mat new link... Yeh, frame rates are a pain, ND filters can be handy to keep the shutter double the frame rate if you still want a shallow DOF
  2. Started a Videographers one here
  3. Doesn't look like and can embed Vimeo... here is the link on Youtube https://youtu.be/V1xX9ysBrvo
  4. Thought I'd start a Videographer's Thread for anyone wanted to post videos, similar to the way we have a Photography one. Here's one of mine shot the other week on a mavic pro. https://vimeo.com/262752423
  5. it does, but most countries now have regulations in place, some of the videos out there are people "range testing" and 4 miles away! at 500m it can be tricky enought to spot
  6. Getting on well, i've got loads of fields around me to I've been practicing there, they are dead easy to fly but quite involved to get setup to your liking. Also you need to practice to get good "cinematic type" video. i've only had it a few weeks so lots to learn and get used too. I had a couple of cheap drones and if you can fly those then these are a doddle, i'm more concerned about it "flying away" due to compass errors or something but if your sensible I think its fine. What's surprised me is a lot of the videos you see on youtube are all illegal flying! higher than 120m and further than 500m out!
  7. @MrMat, be interested to see how you get on with the Zhiyun. Yep, there are rumours about a Pro 2 but nothing concrete at the moment, there was a load of rumour videos on Youtube that got quashed has fake. I got my Mavic off Ebay second hand with fly more pack and other bits for £700. Doing the licence is 1K plus though but i'll need to do that to if i want do get in to it properly!
  8. Yeh, i'm looking to get in to video, hopefully doing a promo video for a wedding venue down the road. I 've just got a fluid head for my tripod and a slider.. i'm going to use my D750 for video, that and my Mavic Pro. I need to do my commercial licence. What gimbal did you get? DJI osmo?
  9. if you use Google Analytics it shows you dead links I think
  10. Hi, Does anyone know the public IP's to get the Unifi Cloud controller working behind Atomwide's firewall? Atomwide won't open the ports outbound without Ubiquiti's public IP's. Ubquiti say it not something they've ever been asked for and are being less than helpful. Thanks
  11. I've had this before, i ended up removing and reinstalling the role.
  12. @DJ-1701 - I think inventry are the only ones that write back to SIMS SG World can't as much as they tell you it can.
  13. Taken with my Mavic Pro
  14. @talksr try enabling : Enable Insecure Guest Logins must be enabled Administrative Templates > Network >Lanman Workstation "Enable insecure guest logons"
  15. does the tablet wake up when you say "hey Google" or do you have to press a key first? that probably the only difference. and maybe how sensitive the mics are.
  16. How are you turning them off and on? are you using the Hue switches or do you have Alexas/Google Homes dotted around?
  17. It does WiFi, Bluetooth and IR (bluetooth and WiFi are device dependent) I also got 4 Google Home mini's over Christmas and dotted them around the house so makes turning the lights off and on with voice much easier.
  18. @MkII I thought I come back with an update... Harmony is good but a bit of a pain to setup with the IR blasters and entering in some of the devices manually (HiFi) etc but it now turns on my TV/xbox/amp and dims the lights when i say "Hey Google xbox time". You have to setup "activities" in Harmony and name them similarly to the voice command you want to use to activate them. The long winded voice command is "ok google ask harmony to turn on....." but these can be setup as shortcuts in the Google Home but are a bit of a pain as you have to be careful not to use the pre-programmed "Google" ones otherwise you get messages like "sorry I don't see and chromecast enabled TV's etc" So i can turn my Xbox on by saying "ok google xbox time" if I say "ok Google game time" the Google home thinks I want to play one of its games. The Harmony App is "ok" but i'd say it took a good couple of hours to get it all sorted - it's kinda cool though and i need to play with it some more to fine tune it.
  19. I use VSL
  20. @mark what light switches and power sockets are you installing?
  21. Honestly it's an impulse - I saw it that price and thought i'll see what its like...
  22. i have a Pixel and a Google Home, the pixel hands off requests to the home when they both detect the "Hey Google" or "Ok Google" You can stream music directly to the google home itself, I can stream music from my desktop pc to my Google Home, they can sync the sound across multiple rooms/devices or play different music in different rooms. I have a phillips Hue lighting system and some E We Link inline wireless switches for lamps etc - also just ordered a Harmony Hub for xmas
  23. One of the mutt... he always looks soo happy
  24. I'd have a chat with nominet and see what they say.
