  1. Yep, ransomware or file deletion from malicious user activity.
  2. Has anyone got this working with a RISO and Papercut? the jobs don't seem to link to the correct user.
  3. I thought about doing that but they wanted to set Out Of Office during the holidays etc which i didn't think you could do with Groups...
  4. @ghanel I wanted a clean break from Outlook to encourage them to use the whole "web based" services. I have no problem with the "sent on behalf of" but apparently there have been instances with parents replying to the on behalf of email address which they don't want.
  5. @jthompson - that was my response but coming from LGFL where they can do it via Outlook (i don't want to use outlook) apparently its too much effort to manually login to another mailbox. @ghanel the messages are in the office@ mailbox composing a new message works fine, its the replying that's the issue. I think my work around will be to setup multiple "person" accounts in chrome then instead of accessing via delegated access they click on the profile tab in the chrome browser and select office or admin.
  6. Insync used to very good but recently i've found it crazy slow to sync data to Google Drive now. I've got a call open with their support and they know it's an issue but have not resolved it yet.
  7. Hi Guys, Our office and admin mailboxes are setup as standard mailboxes and the office staff have delegated access. We have setup their accounts under the accounts tab in GMail mailboxes of "admin" and "office" so when they compose an email from their accounts they can select who it comes from in the "from" field. this works fine until they reply to a message, when they reply to a message the recipient can see office@.... on behalf of staff.name@school.... Does anyone know of a clever way to stop this behavior? I have a feeling its not possible but was wondering if something can be done in the routing area in gmail. How do other people overcome this or is it just my school being a pain....
  8. I did this, nominet assigned the tag for me for free as goodwill gesture.
  9. Cached apps would be fine, is there a rough time scale for this? Thanks
  10. Yeh, I thought as much, i might log a feature request or something with Google. My concern is 30 Chromebooks all pulling apps at the same time... it's not going to take many apps before the wireless gets saturated or the user experience suffers..
  11. Hi Guys, It is possible to deploy Android Apps to devices (chromebooks) rather than users? We are starting to deploy a number of apps to the Chromebooks but annoyingly it installs the apps for each student that logs in rather than the device itself. This means it takes a minute or two for the apps to appear for a first time logon. Is there a way around this? Thanks Simon
  12. if you move within the borough all your emails stay with you, last time i queried this, they suggested I create shared mailboxes for every user this way I could stop them accessing their email relating to their old school.... We moved to GMail shortly after that.
  13. That's fine for deleted files but not if the files in a directory have been encrypted for example. they have been encrypted/changed you'd have to manually revert each file back to a previous version..
  14. knowing SIMS its probably not a log it keeps....
  15. Yes, its an offline file issue. If you have redirected documents you'll see this issue unless you either enable offline files or give them access via VPN.
  16. @FN-GM the built in backup? I've looked at Vault it can do somethings I wouldn't say its a backup solution..
  17. @TwistedHelixis - Thanks i've just requested a quote.
  18. This may need splitting to another thread but for those of you purely cloud or are in the process of moving, who are you using to backup your data once it's up there? Thanks Simon
  19. @b0ssman That's not the behavior i see, if i create a file on a desktop pc or makes changes it reflects back instantly..
  20. If you're on LGFL then you can now get free Egress licences as part of your broadband package
  21. Sunset taken out of the back of my house
  22. Polperro Village in Cornwall. Taken at the weekend
  23. Mine appeared on WSUS last night in the upgrades Category
  24. @Mr Mat you can get Free PL insurance if you join the BMFA its £35 a year to join and you get the PL as part of it. My Camera policy wouldn't cover drone insurance but that was with Hiscox for my photography business. Also look at the NATS app and UAV Forecast App too. You'll soon be getting a flymore pack and some Polar Pro filters too lol... Slippery slope. I wouldn't recommend trying to fly it inside either.....
  25. Awesome!! Fingers crossed you get the weather to play. They take an hour or to setup firmware wise and get the settings to your liking. Beginner mode lasted about 90 seconds before i turned it off.
