I wont go into too much detail but we have been having issues when purchasing HP ProLiant Servers which were not supplied from UK market, they have leaked into the so called "grey" market and we've sent them back to the suppliers, I do have a contact at HP who checks all are purchases via the serial number - if you want his details PM me. HP are cracking down on suppliers getting kit from the grey market- the suppliers know what they are doing, there not stupid, I would advise ANYONE purchasing new HP kit (servers and networking) to get it checked out. Worst case I've heard of is HP walking in and taking the kit if its known to be HOT (aka grey market), theres nothing you can do.

I'll come back to the switching later. Try this, create a new VM in Hyper-V Manager and manually attach the VHD's to the VM - try this.

why not get a proper backup solution, like a tape library for example? -
I think we need a bit more information on this, if you change the default gateway in the DHCP Settings for that scope should be good. Can we have some screenshots, wireshark logs, filtering system in use?

Hello, Are you doing this via the Web GUI or CLI, if you want to change the default gateway for a particular VLAN see below via CLI (example): conf t vlan 201 no ip address then input your new default gateway for your vlan: ip address 10.52.200.254 255.255.255.0 wr mem maybe do a show ip test | Manual 10.52.200.254 255.255.255.0 No

The VMs you are moving, are they on a different VLAN\Subnet? Is the networking on the switch side the same? What switches are u running?
