It's some sort of beef stew whatsit. Apparently you add 40ml of water into the bag and seal it, and it warms itself up over about 7-8 minutes. Worth a try at £5 before discount, if you're as useless at practical things as I am... xD

Is it keeping an old entry for where the user profile should come from / be cached to in the Registry? Some workstations get very stubborn about that. HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\ProfileList (Off the top of my head.)

I've not found it to be that way here. If you assign apps to users through the VPP section alone, they will appear in the Managed Apps area in the Meraki MDM app on those users' devices, where they can then download them. They should also appear under the Purchased section in the App Store. Either way, though, they will not be automatically installed. To have that as well, you also need to deploy them to devices (using tags seems to work best) through MDM > Apps.

I think @DrCheese's solution is the right one. It's what we use here too. You can put this in a startup script for all workstations: @wmic os get osarchitecture | find "32" && if not exist "C:\Program Files (x86)" mklink /j "C:\Program Files (x86)" "C:\Program Files" Then you can have a single redirected Start Menu with shortcuts that only point to the (x86) version of everything... assuming you have no specifically 64-bit software to link to, that is.

Probably best to contact them and request a trial. BlueHills mainly comes into its own on the financial side, where the school needs to be able to show the impact of e.g. Pupil Premium money being spent and give evidence of their interventions and provision maps, though it does have other features too. As far as I know, you can't get it to do that without the install CD unless the Recovery Console has been manually installed locally. The OP can't boot from CD or USB and it's highly unlikely the Recovery Console will be installed. No other local administrators available.

It would have to have been installed. The default setting is also to require an administrator password for it. It's highly unlikely that any "on-board" recovery options are going to work in this scenario, else there'd be no point in putting passwords on in the first place. (... yes, yes, I know it's pretty pointless with Windows anyway... )
