Does anyone run Ubuntu through a virtual machine on a windows 7 based machine. I'm having issues getting Ubuntu to run in a correct resolution?

We use ghost pretty easy and reliable just make a image on the master machine pull it back to the server and send out to the other clients

Has anyone configured the Ctrl Alt Del screen to look more "corporate" within there organisation e.g company colour and logo? Also is there any pieces of freeware which when students are logged onto a pc it displays there username somewhere on the desktop? Cheers Chris

I had the opposite of this where all lines would appear straight. The USB cable run was over the 5 meter limit causing a intermittent issue

Hi All, I need to copy a pdf into all the users H: in year 11 at school and instead of manually doing this I was wanting to use Robocopy but having not used this before I don't know we're to start. Any help would be great. Cheers Chris

Also it's been requested so that lower end students can right click copy/paste documents without having to use shortcuts

It was disabled when I moved into my current post within school and only just got the chance to look into it really had a look into the registry changes but it all looks a bit messy to be honest. I'll have to have a proper play with a test machine with right click enabled for students and see what they can do

Cheers for the info, I can get the admin staff at school to rename all the pdf files when the exams officer receives them. We use first initial of Christian name and Surname then a unique number within school as the pupils usernames

Hi All, Within school we currently have the right click option for students disabled but have been looking into the possibility of allowing this then changing the context menu via registry changes to only allow copy, paste and open with. Has anyone previously done this? Cheers Chris

Hi All, I work in a secondary school and I have been asked to allow the students to get access to there predicted grades as soon as they login either as there desktop or as a file which opened up at login. The problem is that all students in year 11 have a separate .pdf file and within school the start menu/desktop is setup to be the same for every user in a year group. Has anyone done this before? Cheers Chris
