  1. Hi All, Does anyone currently use intune as a co-management setup with SCCM, we are currently in the process of setting up if anyone has a guide they have followed before which worked. Currently we are only looking into sending out updates to staff laptops offsite and general maintenance. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
  2. So it will auto sync with G Suite but how do we actually have it auto assign licences to new users so that they have an account they use - don't they have to have the free spark licence attached in order to make use of their account with shared device licences?
  3. Hi All, We are currently going through the process of migrating from device-based licencing to shared device licencing, we currently have the admin console setup and syncing to gsuite which has pulled over all users who need to use the applications. My only issue I can see at the minute is assigning applications to users and having to do this via .csv bulk uploads and no automated way to do this so when new users are created this inst automatically added which seems very old hat, has anyone figured out a way to automate this process? Cheers Chris

Hi All, Anyone got any ideas on how to access and see who has direct dial numbers within the mitel setup, I really need to check numbers and assign new numbers to handsets? Cheers
  5. Ive managed to change the usernames by using a piece of software called WiseSoft Bulk AD Users, Ive used Wisesoft software before and its always worked well, only thing i need to do now is bulk rename home folders. I only done this on a test OU bofore anyone says ive destroyed my users
  6. Yeah I meant altering existing usernames, could you let me have the csv and other details you used please?
  7. Hi All, During the summer holidays we plan to change all of staff usernames from payroll id to firstname.surname as well and changing all users home directory names. Is there a quick way to do this with a script or by using powershell and has anyone experienced doing this before? Thanks in advance Chris
  8. Wouldn't mind a copy of these GPO's to have a look at against mine to compare if somebody is available?
  9. Hi All, We as a school are currently preparing for a summer 2018 windows 10 site deployment, all policy's are 95% complete as well as the image but ive 2 things which I cant seem to remove from the image locally or via group policy. Firstly the apps folder which is generated on the start menu using classic shell and secondly the search bar next to the start menu, I know these are little things but they are massively annoying when you dont want them visable. Any help is greatly appreciated Cheers Chris
  10. It was set to only media and PXE, so this needs to be set to either only configuration clients only or configuration manager clients, media, and PXE.
  11. We run SCCM 2012 on site and usually re-image PC's by going to the machine and pressing the F12 option and entering the password to confirm, but we wanted to start re-imaging remotely. We have created a group within SCCM with selected clients added and our image deployed and all deployment settings added but this doesn't work, has anyone had any issues with this before and could shed any light on fixing the issue? Cheers
  12. Hi All, Dont know if this has been asked before but is there a section in GPO which changes the CTRL ALT DEL default picture, I was wanting to change to our school logo to make us look a bit more corporate. Obviously we have changed the default desktop background but didn't know if you could change this via GPO. Thanks in advance. Chris
  13. Just in the process of imaging a PC in a fresh OU with all policy's attached and removing 1 by 1 until I see something affecting the office suite. Will update when fully tested, but getting time at the minute is a pain.
  14. To be honest I think it's a policy object or access writes which is causing the issue as works as admin but it's affecting all the office suite
  15. Did you ever get to the bottom of this as I am having the same issue and cant find anything online.
  16. Enable Switch User GPO Hi All, Does anyone know where in GP this can be enabled. Sick of users locking there machines then other people coming to teach in a room and having to hold the power button to reset the machine. Thanks in advance Chris
  17. Found this hotfix when looking around may do the trick. https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/2928422
  18. All the settings required are green localzuk. Jonnykewell1 what's the line I have to run from group policy to get that info?
  19. Foofighterjim no there different addresses. Jonnykewell1 it's server 2012 set within users preferences Internet settings
  20. No the gpo still isn't applied when it's forced is there a force setting to see what's applied when a specific staff user is logged on without cmd access
  21. Yes it's just setup under the users ou so struggling massively with it
  22. I'll start from the beginning our ISA server is looked after by an external company and last week there was a sophos filtering update where it broke all rules setup to access shopping sites etc. At this point they asked me to change the internet settings for ie11 via group policy to point directly upstream this was the end of my troubles so I thought........ My policy is setup and all settings are correct all references to our ISA server have been removed but the policy still isn't applying and pointing to our ISA instead of upstream. Any ideas as I am slowly losing my hair?
  23. Hi all, I recently configured the ie11 policy within group policy and have managed to get most things working but have a issue with .xml files being blocked. I also have a issue with YouTube where the video plays for seconds then cuts off thinking its policy related Any ideas I'm close to pulling my remaining hair out [emoji6]
  24. They are on my computer at work need to investigate further Monday on a virtual machine and see what they actually do. DarkenRahl I'm near 95% sure that they were run from his H: a teacher saw him in him home folder clicking the files but couldn't be 100%
  25. Hi all, On Friday afternoon we had a student running several .bat files from his H: on the schools network. The student had previously found a website to run a denial of service attack on the schools network. The school banned him from the network for several days and the police even visited his house but because it could "effect his grades" they let him back on. I'm massively puzzled on how he has done this as the network is locked down so you can't run the files or run cmd. I have logged onto our test student account and tried to run the files a few different ways but with no joy. Without asking the student outright. Does anyone have any ideas how this could be done. I don't want to admit defeat [emoji3]
