I am thinking of starting a filming club for ks2 students. Any experiences pros/cons/ feedback / ideas on how to introduce basics like a storyboard and then get children engaged enough to do the story board and look at ways of editing etc...? any recommended software? We have iPads we can use for filming but also looking to buy 2 or 3 decent , child friendly, sturdy video cameras. We also have a portable green screen and tripods... Thanks in advance

Hi , Was thinking of introducing a film club for ks2 students - any ideas on equipment that I could buy e.g video cameras that are sturdy and child friendly but a bit more than just the old Digiblue type of thing. We have tripods in school already. Also, any ideas on how to run a successful filming club where I (and maybe some help) could engage students to create a storyboard and then film etc... As always, any help appreciated. Regards

Just someone mentioned that it was easy to do and could run on a laptop in the corner .... We only have one server which does DHCP ,DNS , AD etc... So thought I'd ask the experts on here to see if it was just a throwaway comment or something I can actually do...

Hi, I was wondering how easy it would be to set up say a spare laptop as a replica DHCP server in case our DC were to fail...? Thinking behind this being that if DC were to go down, I would still need wireless AP's to get an IP address so that we could continue out to the internet?.. Is this possible? would it work?

Don't worry - think I have got it sorted now :-)

Long shot - but ... We have RM maths installed but not able to add new students / amend old ones etc as the teacher program greys out all the options when logging on... Logged a call with RM who now no longer support it but gave me a tech note on using an override password - which I can then re use to set a new admin password . BUT... The password doesn't work ... Any ideas on why the options are greyed out? AFAIK I am using admin login...

Should also say current server is 2008 r2 rm rackserver...

Our current server is only used as print server, DNS, DHCP, and a small amount of storage (admin only) - we use google drive for everything else... So, I'm looking to replicate that (single dc) with the option to do virtualisation for backup purposes ...

Hi , Just wondered if any of you allow primary children to have wearable tech ? We've started seeing a couple of vtech devices.. not sure what they do yet... But wondered if anyone had stance on them - e.g. policy? not allowed? allowed? if allowed what rules? etc.... Thanks in advance

Hi, We have a DHCP set up with 3 IP ranges - Superscope set up with 2 gateway IP's out to out ISP. When looking at the DNS - there don't appear to be any reverse lookups - How should this look in a 'normal' set up? Any help appreciated . Thanks

Hi All, I had some help setting up my Mac server with server app before Xmas . I have now got an issue where I can't bind clients to the OD and the only thing I can see is : When I look at the users and groups on the Mac mini that server app is on- the Mac server IP address is showing as 127.0.0.1 ie local host. Is this correct? If yes, then why am I getting an unexpected error when trying to bind a client to OD? Binds to AD happily. Thanks in advance for any advice .
