  2. Hi Andrew I can assure you SIMS does not have the ability to colour code registers or do anything else fancy if they are incomplete/late.
  3. Jackfrost13 is correct. It is somewhat annoying, especially when there are multiple reports. Which is why i try and make the reports as future proof as possible, to prevent me having to re-schedule them all periodically.
  4. i would agree with JDSA, schedule reports to run weekly - you could then add a "prompt at run time filter" to the excel document, so that users is prompted for their particular "subject" (based on either the activity or subject that was logged when the incident was logged)
  5. Pubgrub is quite right. Capita will no longer be developing the Android version (disappointingly). We did try to argue the "uptake" reason, as we felt that the figures could be skewed (especially after we were selling teacher app off the back of the statement "you don't have to buy expensive Ipads, you can get some nice android devices for less than £100, and they'll be fine")
  6. It certainly is thinking outside the box, and i fear it may be a nightmare to manage, but i am also interested to know more.
  7. MrMat Using numbers instead of attendance marks is quite popular in schools, i understand the reasoning behind it, but it is quite difficult to maintain and becomes more troublesome when reporting on it. But you are quite right, the 2 modules are "separate" and what missnkg is trying to achieve will not be possible
  8. I could be completely wrong, but i had a similar issue the other day. The solution was: putting the IP address into the DMS settings instead of the computer name.
  9. In SIMS.net, there is an issue with the attendance summary panel on the home page for schools who have a vertical structure, when selecting a group type of "year group". It will display the same % figure, no matter which year group you select. This is technically more of a fix than a change request, but i was asked to raise a change request, so...... please vote for my change request so we can get this bug fixed. change request 1503-1362200
  10. I have this issue on a few schools. Even had a remote session with capita, issue varied from school to school. In one school, whilst the server met SIMS minimum specs it was not good enough for Intouch (not enough ram in this instance), the other school had plenty of RAM but SQL was taking it all and i was advised to cap the maximum amount of memory SQL to take. I believe this issue only occurred with intouch schools who upgraded on the last release, do you agree? Have you found a solution yet?
