  1. I was referring to the status log on LAN Ranger. Just thought that there might be something there to give you a clue as to what was happening
  2. Have you looked into the Ranger Server Status logs to see what is happening with Ranger. You should be able to filter to a machine that you know was affected to see in what order things are happening
  3. We have our G APs connected to 100Mb ports as that is the top speed of the Ruckus G APs ethernet port We have our N APs connected to 1Gb ports We have had no problems with up to 30 laptops logging on at one time
  4. Afraid that is not true You have to edit the workers.properties file in the \conf\ If you have access to the eportal installation files then go to the docs folder and open up : Setting_up_ePortal_on_a_Single_Server.htm It contains all the instructions and links to getting IIS set up correctly
  5. Have you set the logging level on the maintenance page?
  6. That is exactly what I do except that I am not using MRBS for our booking system. In the CMIS table 'Timetable' there is a column 'WeekID'. As we use a one week timetable my column is all set to '1' . My guess is that yours will have both '1' and '2' I would ignore the CMIS week mappings and as you know when week1 and week2 is create a script to populate the mrbs_entry table based on your start date. There are several threads on here regarding importing timetables into MRBS but none of them seem to have come to a positive result
  7. Try adding 'ClassGroupID' to the query This may contain the info you are looking for
  8. What you need is something like this: SELECT weekday, starttime, finishtime, lecturerid, roomid, courseyear from STUD_ADMIN.TIMETABLE where setid='2009/2010' This is assuming that you have your database set up in the way that Serco advise with the tables owned by STUD_ADMIN
  9. This doesn't answer your question but may solve your initial problem. We had a similar problem with our laptop trolley printers. I seem to remember that we solved it by changing the port on the print server from the HP generated one to a standard TCP/IP port. It seems to recognise the printer being off line better so that any documents sent to the printer when it is disconnected are queued and print out when it is reconnected. With the HP port it didn't correctly recognise the printer as being off line and tried to send the document which jammed the print queue
  10. How about option 3 then 'Auto download and notify for install' It just means that you will have to log on to each server to install the updates and the server will then prompt you for a reboot each time you log on
  11. In the 'Configure Update Properties' you should be able to set option 4 'Auto download and schedule the install' You can then schedule the install for a weekend
  12. In Exchange 2003 Open 'Exchange System Manager' Expand Recipients then Off Line Address Books In the right pane highlight the Offline Address list, right click and the select 'Rebuild' Once that has completed then on a client download the address book. In outlook it is 'Send/ Receive' / 'Address Book' but untick 'Download changes since last send/receive'
  13. Try this: User Guide
  14. Have you reset the WSUSID on each machine?
  15. There are a couple of diagnostic tools you can download: Microsoft Windows Server Update Services Tools and Utilities The Client Diagnostic tool and Server Diagnostic tool I have found to be helpful Also look in the client windowsupdate.log in the Windows directory to see if it is talking to the WSUS server.
  16. Have you checked that remote connections have been enabled in the Surface Area Configuration utility? Start / Programs / SQL 2005 / Configuration Tools / Surface Area Configuration
  17. Proxy server settings?
  18. Yes - I have used this company several times for various items such as screens and motherboard power connectors which our staff seem to damage with monotonous regularity. Never had any problems with them and they have always been very helpful when we have had problems identifying a particular component
  19. What is the name of Mario's dinosaur friend Yoshi - Correct Yashi Yeshi Yushi

I have just ordered one of these which I saw at BETT MIMIO They seem to do the same job as an E-beam but also have addons such as a wireless module. We are going to give it a trial in the ICT department so I will report back when we have anything good or bad to report
