We just use bog standard headphones and VLC too. I think we do let them bring their own headphones in as well, but not 100% on that.

It took two of us about half an hour to input the 2 week timetable for 7 rooms. We ask the person in charge of the timetable to let us know of any changes.

Another vote for https://www.classroombookings.com/ We've been using it for a few years now using the cloud version and are very happy with it. Very easy to set up. We manually add the timetabled lessons onto it but that doesn't take very long since you can select multiple lessons at a go and block book them that way. Two week timetables are supported, so once you have defined your year then bookings will be correct for the year.

I have this issue too at the moment. Haven't raised a ticket yet though. We also are having mixed results with the logon_loop script which has been working for years without issue - users are then not authenticated but the block page shows no login button.

We've recently started a product from CloudHQ: https://www.save-emails-to-google-drive.com/ Combined with a label in Gmail, it can automatically save files out to a shared drive as soon as the email is labelled, including the attachments. I believe there is a trial version available.

I roll out the Invigilator MSI to one PC in a room, and then roll out the Test Player MSI with the switch INVIGILATORNAMEVALID="1" INVIGILATORNAME="PC-NAME" Where PC-NAME is the invigilator PC.

Personally, I couldn't get the RM WSUS to update it successfully, so what we did was run the 20H2 installer on each PC. Long winded yes, but successful. Site of 700 PCs.

Got this with a video here today. Both the teacher and myself get this even though we are in different OUs but listed as over 18. Grr.

Certainly seems faster, and the profile errors disappeared. We seemed to be forever resetting profiles, so user satisfaction has increased!

I was hesitant moving to UEV on our CC4 network, but did it last year and didn't have any problems with it. Logins are quicker. Hardly any profile errors now, and if they do occur, it's just a case of deleting the hidden 'SettingsPackages' folder within a user's Document folder. Not had to make any changes to templates for other pieces of software. From what I remember, RM said any version of Windows 10 that they release would need UEV being in place on the network. Whether that will still apply due to what has been said above, I don't know!

I've sent you a PM with a link. We just get the installer running and lock the PC - it will happily install and reboot as necessary.

I went around and ran the 20H2 installer on each PC. Once it's done its checks at the beginning it can be left alone to reboot automatically. Bit of a pain but more successful than the RM route. One to do in holidays!

Yes it has, I think it was yesterday it turned up and highlighted in the left hand menu.

Not sure it's entirely the same but I was getting 'Action Needed' on my wifi connection. I came across a registry change to fix it: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\NlaSvc\Parameters\Internet\EnableActiveProbing change from 1 to 0

Can they download anything using Chrome, not just Gmail attachments? Disk quota limitation?

You can make custom directories by using groups: https://support.google.com/a/answer/7566446?hl=en I've done it so that my Students OU can only see members of the Student and Staff groups of my school.
