Did you try the security forum? I'd bet/hope that would set smoothwall off. There's information in the threads in there you absolutely do not want you little darlings reading lest they lay waste to your network.

WSUS rolling out drivers perhaps?

Verify the graphics card can actually do DX10/11. Update the graphics card drivers. Update the Monitor Drivers (sometimes reverting to the Standard PnP Monitor driver works too) For me, it was the monitor driver causing the problem (the EDID info was corrupt)

Yes but hardware manufacturers are incapable of writing a system bios that can't be bypassed like a Christmas tree because its full of holes. See Jailbroken iPhones, Chipped consoles, etc for example. The whole premise of secure boot is flawed and will not work as advertised. -
Yes, modded clients will have different hashes. Also what happens if they get the jar file version instead? That's not even an .exe?

I used to play a similar game at uni with my housemates and the kitchen bin. When it was getting full people would precariously balance junk on it. Whoever put something on that caused the whole lot to fall off/over had to empty the bin.

If you have to link to Wikipedia, link to the specific revision of the page you're interested in rather than the generic article link.

Feedly works well enough for me. The handling of podcasts in the android app leaves something to be desired though. Also going to try oldreader when my OPML imports.

Put the switch at the top and the power at the bottom (or the other way round if you prefer). UPS always at the bottom. Networking at the front, power at the back. You can switch networking to the back for a server rack to keep your patch cabling short. Always run fibre to the back. As for labelling, I'd suggest a label printer of some sort. Also don't use selotape, the heat will eventually cause it to peel.

Normally when you S-OFF a HTC phone (in order to change the bootloader) then you will unlock it as part of that.

There is if you know where to look. HTC Desire SIM-Unlock Utility - xda-developers

Running a custom rom on an android phone will automatically unlock it. i.e. any operator SIM locks are done in software by the operators branding which obviously gets removed once you wipe the phone (technically this is part of the CSC).

Indeed, GiffGaff here on the £12 goodybags with recurring monthly topups. Using a Galaxy S2 I got cheap second hand. BTW the 'unlimited' data isn't actually unlimited. It's 1Gb/day. In practice you'll never get anywhere near this limit.

Yes, if something registers as a URL handler then the browser (depends) will prompt you what you want to happen the first time you click such a link. Most people don't read what they are being told and worse click the 'always do this for links like this' too. At which point the URL handler has basically the same level of access as a browser plugin. I don't imagine it'll be a big deal in most school environments but more generally I think you should pull up an 'average' machine and just check what url handlers you have installed (Java I'm looking at you). There's also scope for your web filter picking up 'odd' URL links. Some one like @tom_newton would know more I imagine.

Other thing to check is to poke about on your Broadband providers network. Their DNS/Web/etc servers might be running NTP anyway. Also check for a time.domain.co.uk, ntp.domain.co.uk or any other 'obvious' dns names for a potential ntp server. They may have one and have forgotten about it. Last resort would be to brute force the issue and nmap scan the whole subnet(s) for a host responding on the NTP port.
