  1. https://spectrum.ieee.org/tech-talk/biomedical/devices/ar-pitfalls-our-eyes-struggle-to-focus-on-virtual-and-real-objects-simultaneously They did several dot-to-dots, some with the dots in AR. The point is that the eye cannot focus on two distances at once, so following an AR marker is not as precise as working it out yourself.
  2. Current research suggests that AR makes you less accurate at precision work though, so maybe not for everyone! https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/technology-48334457
  3. I think it's the pretentious waffle from the drivers...
  4. Galvanometer?
  5. I don't think they do anything smaller than the usual freeview stb.
  6. less than 5 minutes walk from our accommodation, result!
  7. You can import devices into the list, looking now.
  8. They could still log on via a browser. Or take a USB stick of data. Or print off a document and take it home. Here at least, we provide laptops, so there's no incentive to install at home.
  9. You can dictate the drive letter, there's an article on registry settings: https://support.google.com/a/answer/7644837?hl=en As for installing at home, I don't believe you can prevent it, but you can just restore data easily, so I can't see that being an issue.
  10. Grabbed an example screenshot: I know that switch is down, there was enough spare on the top switch so I moved everything and switched it off
  11. I use the dude. With a little work you can map out the network, and then connect to snmp to get realtime status info for the devices.
  12. Been using file stream here and my last place with no issues whatsoever? Never even heard of issues when updating.
  13. I did similar with 240gb drives for my steam library, I have no mechanical storage in my pc whatsoever
  14. I'll be honest, I hadn't realised it was the same day yet!
  15. When you say drink, what kind of refreshing beverages may we quaff during this picnic? *EDIT* and that's what I get for not hitting refresh! I'd like the alcohol option please!
  16. I found a few kids that didn't know the difference between pixels, cm and inches, would try to make a 1000 inch wide image, which would then cause all sorts of issues. The teachers would never spot this, despite me showing them numerous times!
  17. And the rest https://cve.mitre.org/cgi-bin/cvekey.cgi?keyword=rdp not to mention countless brute force attacks going on.
  18. Yes, but attackers target the one that every Windows system includes, which is why there's an issue with RDP every week or so.
  19. You can get IP speakers, not cheap though! https://www.valcom.co.uk/product-category/paging/ip-speakers/
  20. Most people don't want to open up their work machines and networks to exploits and brute force attacks.
  21. AeroAdmin is free I believe, not sure if I'd trust it for work stuff though.
  22. This would only prevent internet access if set up correctly. If you don't want them connecting to your network at all, you can use RADIUS to secure most managed switches, to prevent the device being given network access at all
  23. Sounds like the easiest way to resolve this would be to add the domain computers group to the conditions of your radius authentication, so only domain machines can connect.
