And you think the damaged vent surrounded with mould isn't the problem?

1) make sure the network config matches. 2) what entries do you have on the smoothwall for the ip of the device? Should tell you whether the devices are reaching the smoothwall or not.

It doesn't sound unrealistic, however, I'd allow time for delays, you don't want to book your fitters, and then your floor layer is ill and pushes everything back a week for example.

Have you checked it from an unfiltered connection like a mobile hotspot? Make sure it's your end first!

It depends on the school. All teachers are issued an iPad, all ta's and iPod, across all schools. Some schools issue all teachers a laptop as well. All classrooms have a teaching pc, either standalone or an OPS unit in the IWB. All SMT and mobile staff have a desktop and laptop, most have a school issued phone and/or iPad as well.

I would go down the route of a portable monitor as @DalekSec suggested, or a tablet with a large screen running VNC, for a completely wireless option. -
