I haven't seen one that looks capable of anything above USB 2.0...

Sorry, you've bought a 3090 which isn't really practical for gaming, are complaining that the budget is tight, but have settled on a 5900x? And you are playing old games like World of Tanks? This is either a troll or a really weird attempt at flexing over getting a 3090...

Sorry to jump in, but is it pulling it in because you have reused an old json file with the old config settings in? I imagine it isn't present if you create a new config file?

GDPR and FOI Request Query
bald_pig replied to trekmad's topic in Data Protection & Information Handling
One for @GrumbleDook I'd say! On my limited understanding, this wouldn't be a valid FOI request, but depending on the age of the student, the parent could make a SAR for the child, which I believe should include the email. -
It was literally golden, and placed on top of everything else iirc

On it! It's been busy here in the lead up to easter works!

Thanks to everyone at VeryPC for putting this together, lots of great freebies as we head into the easter break (Although I imagine @Katy would have appreciated the Intel notepad more than me!) Oh, and of course, all together now!

I'll be allocating a pair to our new Jr tech, he's new to the industry so this will be his first vendor freebie! Roll on BETT 2022 when we can show him the wonders that show holds!

I've received an email, and I quietly submitted the form before anyone replied, so I'm going to say it's favouritism

MS stop this change to teams new meeting experience?
bald_pig replied to nicholab's topic in Cloud Services
The separate window makes life so much easier to refer back to messages, discuss options privately during meetings etc. I found it much harder to get back to the meeting with the old system. -

The point of the on site tests before you are given the home kit is to ensure you know how to take the test. -
I'd be looking at using 3.5mm extension leads and securing away the pcs and ports, then just replace the leads when they get busted.

Migrating network home folders to one drive but retaining local speed?
bald_pig replied to nueon's topic in Cloud Services
Hate to say it, but I think you should have spent less on your storage server, and more on your internet connectivity! Here, we're planning to migrate all user areas to onedrive, and all shared areas to Teams. Teams files still use sharepoint in the backend and can be mapped using the onedrive client too. -
Actually, that output suggests that the script is running as intended, that's what is being written to screen when installing.

Can you use the code tags to keep the formatting? Makes it a lot easier to look at!
