Jeez you guys are a bit serious about you passwords aren't you ? It's a school network not NASA :-) Our yr7's can't even remember their names yet alone passwords, most staff have theirs on a post it note !

If your doing it to earn extra cash, why not look at moving out of education, into the private sector where you can get paid properly ? Then there's no need to have two jobs and burn yourself out.

We've just popped 2 42" ones up in the holidays, 1 for onelan school feed, the other for helpdesk stats, TV etc

We use digicare for laptop warranty repairs and spare parts for repairs we do ourselves, they are a samsung authorised repair centre and offer excellent service and value for money. Not sure if they do printers but give them a call. Always had a super service from them.

No worries, our team have only recently picked up onelan admin, just have a play about with it you can't break too much.

Yeah basically, you can set you schedule in many configurations, days mon-sat / times etc, just set it to what you need. Your main feed will then swap over to your video then revert back to the default feed when the schedule is up. We set it up like this for open evenings so the main feed swaps to promo videos from 3:30- end of open evening, then reverts back to the default feed. It's great as we don't need to be onsite to assist teaching staff we can just set it up before we leave.

Apologies it's late, don't change your default layout, create a new one and add this to your schedule so it flips between the two when you want them displayed

Probably great to manage in the US with DEP, the UK not so much. We will top 400 devices shortly, nice and shiny but what they are adding to education maybe someone could enlighten me.

I haven't done any exercise for 15 years plus. As I approach 40 I wanted to get fit. I've just done the Great North Run after 8 months of training, I followed Bupas 0-5k 12 week programme then the 0-half marathon. Totally loved every minute of it, lost 1.5 stone and feel much better for it. The training plan is great as I couldn't even run for 3 minutes to start with. 0-5k training is run walk so it's great for building your stamina. I'm now hooked, I also have two small children so usually pop out when there gone to bed.

I asked the same question, here's what they said ePortal will work with iPads. However we have sometimes seen some issues when it comes to using Behaviour Management, so you might want to have a look at how it is and then make a judgement call based on the schools needs. Can iPads install other browsers such as Firefox, Chrome etc? We don't "technically" support Chrome, however, experience tells me that ePortal works with it pretty well.

No need to be rude, we have over 350 iPads supervision does not stop the devices from being dfu'd. Users can easily reset a device back to factory settings unless locked down with an iCloud ID.

What about the fact that if you let the students / teachers register the device on iCloud then they legally own it ! Unless of course you go directly to apple to prove ownership. What happens when you get the ipad back to repurpose and it's locked to an Apple ID ?

Hi all just wanted to find out how you handle recycling within your school. We currently send a lot of kit off to third part recycle companies but can't help feeling that we could make more money from our surplus/redundant items by selling them off to either staff/students or eBay etc. Has anyone done anything like this ? I'd be interested to hear your views.
