@hbjb. We upgraded from SP2 to Sp3. I have plugged PC into different switch port, but nothing. It picks up an IP fine, and can ping it via name so DNS is fine. I'll probably reboot the server tonight to eliminate that issue.

Sims is hosted out of school, so that wouldn't be an issue. I'll try a different switch port.

The redirection fails with all users and are on the same switch, but 'working pc's' are also on the same switch. I've tried renaming the PC's to something random, but still no joy.

That would take those PC's 'out of action' then.

XP SP3. This is throughout the school, and the PC's are the same as ones that work.

I have an issue with 3 PC's where the my documents aren't redirecting properly. They get redirected to the users Home drive. It works fine everywhere else in the school just not on these pc's. Any idea's? The steps I have done are: - Reimaged PC. - Renamed PC - Checked in correct OU. - Deleted any local profiles - we use mandatory. - Forced a group polciy update.

I have just mailed staff, put up a notice in the staff room, and in the staff bulletin to get all teachers and staff to bring their usb pens/hdd to us for scanning. Lets hope they take note! We've just been advised by county that their head offices have been affected.

We've got those CP1515n's and they use cartridges like mad. It doesn't give many pages per cartridge.

I signed up with tiscali about two weeks ago as I couldn't get 02. I have noticed that the performance drops dramitically after 6pm, ie. Down from 4.5mbs to 400kbps. Have I made a boo boo....

I've just put a new sata hard-drive in an HP Compaq nx6310 laptop, and Its installed the first part of windows XP, but when it reboots it comes up with a disk read error occured message and will not boot. Any idea's?

I just authorized it locally on each PC, using the icon in the sys tray. Never had an issue again.

I go by megabus which costs a £1.50

And its good because our office is at the back of an IT suite. You have to go through the classroom to get out. We wouldn't leave the office, as most of the team the teachers would be 'inspected'. Perfect excuse!
