We were on viglen til I came along 3 years ago. That was one my first major tasks. The school were paying for it, and I asked why? We're on vanilla now. Its easier to manage and mantain. Why make things harder for yourself?

I think thats the cheapest I've found, but its for 10 blokes on a stag do. I'm sure they can put up with the writing!

We may be looking at changing suppliers, although we use UK laser supplies. They sort us out by buying us beer, oh and supplying orginal's at re-manufatured prices...

I'm in for the first week, we're replacing a cabinet in the server room/our office for a full height one. Schools shut the second week.

They've tried to bill me £20 for a months usage, so have rung them up to tell them I'm not paying it as I couldn't use the service! I even put the phone down on them. Useless.

I have been given an EPSON C68 inkjet printer for personal use, and even though I've put brand new cartridges in no ink is printed. I've cleaned the printer heads through the maintenance software, but any tips on how to clean them manually?

Very true Tony, I've told them that the network comes first anyhow. I can only do so much, I'll have to PAT Test when I get the chance. I only work term times aswell which is even worse!! For some reason, they don't agree with support staff working during the holidays- well paying for them to!!

Ours cost £2200. For a wall mounted Fujitsu 5kw unit. I have more details if you'd like them.

We've recently had air con put in our server room as it was getting way too hot, especially in the winter. I basically told the finance dept that if they don't buy a wall mounted air conditioning unit then the server will blow up then the school won't be able to run. I seriously put it as blunt as that, because thats how it was.

Easily a 1500 pieces. Our LEA says all IT equipment needs to be tested yearly aswell.

Start up scripts are by far the easiest way to assign a printer to a PC in my opinion.

Got my pay rise, of only 3k extra per year, on condition that I do the PAT testing on all IT equipment every year!!

No I was cleaning mine, we don't clean 'staff/student' ones at the moment...

That loads automatically anyway but is only up for about a second, or are you talking about the welcome to outlook e-mail message?
