We have some teachers that don't turn things off at all ie. Projectors. So they are on all night. The head approached me saying could we do a check on a daily basis so they're not left on. I refused, as it was down to the teacher surely to switch it off as it was their classroom and it wasn't hard!!!

We block youtube, but the little blighters are finding video sites all the time. It really is a cat and mouse game!! The site I hate is dot.tk

We had the same issues as above. I told them the head of science that was a virus on the disk and she didn't beleive me as it was from a decent company and that all schools would be sent it so wasn't true I really hope she took it home!

You can disable web access via Active directory in exchange features.

On our old server we used windows standard quota service. Giving 100mb to students, then the rest to Staff and just monitored on a regular basis. Staff and Students have approx 350gb of hard-drive space to share between them, so once its gone its gone. Does anyone know of any good free quota software?

I've implemented the Software Restriction Policy in Group Policy (under user config), yet when I disallow them nothing works which is good, but when I don't restrict them they still have the ability to run the exe files even though they are in the designated otions ie exe files. Any idea's? The path I am using is their 'home directory'.

How do I change the exe to a silent install? Do I put the install.cmd and start.cmd in the start up?

Arhhhhh... Anyway enough of my singing. Kids are playing flash (.swv) games from their 'home' directories. Is there anyway this can be stopped. Some Educational software requires flash to play, so ideally I don't want flash to be disabled altogether.
