Some students have made a video in movie maker in Vista, but at school we only have XP. Is there a compatibility pack or do I just convert the file into an AVI format? What if they want to use it in school.

We had our health and safety visit today. What was pointed out to me: - Not a nice environment to work in. They wouldn't like to work in it for more than 20 mins. - Server room is noisy. - Air quality is poor These are the best bits. - Its like sitting on an airplane. - so we are renaming the office to the Virgin Atlantic Suite. - Get some plants to help with the air quality. But you're not allowed to water them due to health and safety regs!

When I try and install AVG on a laptop it comes up with error code 0XE001C011, where it can't download the content from the internet. The laptop is a standalone and can connect to the www fine. Does anyone have a full older version they can link me to? Much appreciated.

My new excuse to the wife.

I tried to get a free upgrade on our honeymoon earlier this year from economy with Virgin. Not a chance. That'll be £300 each. What?! You now have to even pay for 'exit' seats. Grrr.

No we did a manual install I think. I'll have to try the uninstall and re-install. Didn't really want to do that as we have about 40 of the damn things!

Tried that as I thought it may have been a profile issue but no. Its the same with admin rights user.

Not sure this is the right place to put this, but when a program, such as Word (2003), is launched on a PC connected to a SMART board it loads the 'Windows is configuring SMART Board drivers'. It only takes 20 or so seconds to do and only has to be done once when logged in. But its starting to annoy some teachers (I know, I know. It only takes 20 secs). Anyone else experienced this on XP pc's?

I've got one of these. Much much easier. http://www.sustransshop.co.uk/assets/0000/7901/RB37_AA_Road_Atlas.jpg Oh and I also use road signs.

We're probably not the only ones, but our office is our server room and the noise is now starting to get to the point where we're getting constant headaches. Its not a loud noise as such (70db) but its the constant 'hum' from the switches and servers (9 of them). We have a health and safety visit next week. Should I mention it? I've asked the head about relocating to non-used room but he said no chance. These working conditions are awful.

Tiger made a poor choice...He should've used a driver. I hear Tiger's wife has improved his game...She made him a true scratch golfer. Tiger's been dropped by Gillette after admitting his crash was the closest shave he had ever had. How can Tiger Wood's be the world's best golfer? He couldn't eevn avoid a water hazard that was in front of him. Tiger Woods is so rich that he owns lots of expensive cars. Now he has a hole in one. What were Tiger Woods and his wife doing out at 2.30 in the morning ? The went clubbing.

If said teacher takes it to a well branded PC superstore, they would charge him lets say for example, £100. If I do it for £50 then we're both winners surely?
-
the thing is this member of staff, I like, but he'll be expecting it to be done for free (although he'll pay for the replacement keyboard). If he was going to take it to a shop then he's willing to pay. I'll probably do it for some beer.
-
....should I charge to fit a teachers laptop keyboard or should I not bother? What would you do? I know it wouldn't take me long but he said he would take it to a shop to be done. How much would they charge?

Exactly what I was thinking. Poor bear.

Companies are springing up all over the place to take equipment nowadays. They make a packet on them. The last company we used, is also used by Cancer research. Apparently they dispose of PC's on a yearly basis!!

As said (moaned) in a previous thread. The ability to tell when a problem has happened without actually been told about it.

I've worked in this school before, with a third party company. Was for about 3 months. Did not enjoy it one bit. That was about 3 years ago though.

Sorry my bad. Its Exchange 2003.

Does anyone know if there is an adminpak.msi for server 2003 r2? I would like to add the exchange features into AD. Is this possible?

Morrisons are also doing it for £26, and amazon is £32 for xbox 360. I saw the airport level this morning, and man I can see why some people are upset by it!!
