  1. @silvestre - given that a shot, still same error on the client.
  2. SubInACL script seems to have done it (for at least the majority) thanks @cscc. I will have to manually re-assign the owner of the odd user where it hasn't worked, but that's fine. Thanks guys!
  3. Trying that script now @cscc - looks the easiest suggestion so far The WiseSoft stuff I've had good experience with, but that one looks a bit confusing if I'm honest!
  4. Best of it was, it was because of teacher requests that I did it. I'm usually pretty good with permissions, but a lapse in concentration was probably what caused it! So just use VEEAM to restore the entire 'pupils' folder? But it would be 2 days ago, as last night would be broken.
  5. Essentially, staff were wanting to be able to see the students home drives, so I attempt to set the permissions last night (which worked) but resultantly wiped the permission for students to save in their own area. Is there a way I can regrant the permissions, quickly? I tried selecting the users, and repointing the home drive as \\server\share\%username% but it sees it as already existing. Think I’ve learned a pretty big lesson from this mistake…
  6. Internal DNS settings:
  7. I have, just gives me the same error about not being outlook needing to be online or connected to the exchange server etc.
  8. @silvestre Apologies it's stretched, screenshots from Impero:
  9. Yep, shows up fine in OWA. No, doesn't contain any other groups, just user members.
  10. Just checked (using this https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/2121559 to determine) and the 2010 client I'm testing on now has the version that is SP2
  11. I'm on Outlook 2013 where it works, not sure about SP2. Is there any easy way to check? Or do I just have to try installing it?
  12. Results Tab: Log Tab: - - - Updated - - - Bear in mind, I've just ran that on a client which IS connecting to exchange (my own machine, after re-installing office it worked, but doesn't on clients where I haven't re-installed office)
  13. On my machine now, I've done that and I get a webpage (https only) showing 600 Invalid Request
  14. No luck. Gives me "The connection to Microsoft Exchange is unavailable. Outlook must be online or connected to complete this action."
  15. Same error, but for parameter 'ExtranlUri'
  16. replcaed casserver1 with CPS-MSX (servername) and that's now returned the correct autodiscover path
  17. However it hasn't worked when I re-run Get-AutoDiscoverVirtualDirectory | fl internalurl,externalurl
  18. Not sure what you mean @silvestre To your second comment, that command worked
  19. Error: A parameter cannot be found that matches parameter name 'ExternalUrl' How I hate Exchange shell red writing!!
  20. I did yes:
  21. Done that, however Get-AutoDiscoverVirtualDirectory | fl internalurl, externalurl still returns blank?
  22. Ran those: Get-ActiveSyncVirtualDirectory | fl internalurl,externalurl Internal and External = http://mail.domainname.co.uk/Microsoft-Server-ActiveSync Get-AutoDiscoverVirtualDirectory | fl internalurl,externalurl Internal and External = blank Get-ECPVirtualDirectory | fl internalurl,externalurl Internal and External = http://mail.domainname.co.uk/ECP Get-OabVirtualDirectory | fl internalurl,externalurl Internal and External = http://mail.domainname.co.uk/OAB Get-WebServicesVirtualDirectory | fl internalurl,externalurl Internal and External = http://mail.domainname.co.uk/exchange.asmx
  23. It's never worked properly since I set it up, just got most staff on the Web App for now! It's Exchange 2013 No changes, aside from the bog standard Windows updates as and when they come!
  24. Outlook main problem is that contacts aren't showing properly in distribution groups. Also, outlook won't autodiscover on current 2010 clients (unless I reinstall office). It doesn't autodiscover outside of the LAN, it also doesn't autodiscover on 2016. On top of that, it doesn't work on the LAN on mobiles?
  25. I do yes
