Hello, We're having trouble with a number of staff laptops where they will move from one department to another (usually they'll close their laptops) and when they reopen it at the next place it won't pick up the wireless. This then requires the staff to troubleshoot the wifi. Sometimes they'll get the yellow exclamation mark where they have to disconnect and reconnect to the network others will just completely lose the network. I've also just had word that sometimes they'll just sit there and it'll drop out. The worrying thing is, we've just had a brand new managed wireless system put in and there are very few blank spots, if any!

Hello, I'm configuring our new printer server on Server 2012. One major problem so far, when adding the printer on a client, it asks to install the driver (as normal - which ideally I would like to get rid of, as this requires administrative rights) However, it gives me the error below, and then stops the spooler? If I restart the spooler and try again, it usually adds the printer, but this isn't a sensible fix really! Any ideas?

Hello, Is there a way I can input a wireless network key with MDT/WDS so I don't have to enter this manually? Still trying with the fully automatic build!

Tried the PRAM - no luck, it reset the sound to full however it did not fix the fans! The only issue with having to create the USB is that I have to do it on the mac - which is the problem in the first place!

At this point I'm happy to try anything. How would I go about downloading the Yosemite installer? I have taken out the hard drive, copied the data off (using an HFS explorer) so that's safe. Whilst I was at it, I put in a Windows HD and the fans still span up to full instantly might I add!

I have a Mid 2010 MacBook Pro, I installed the Yosemite beta and it was fine, then after one of the beta updates all of a sudden it became really slow. I hoped after the final installation came out it would make it better, but unfortunately it hasn't. It takes forever just to move the mouse, let alone open applications. Plus, the startup is incredibly slow and the fans sound like they're constantly running at full! Finally, I can't boot into recovery or safe mode or anything as it just won't let me. Any ideas? :-/ I'd format, but like I say about the recovery mode, plus, how would I backup my data when I can hardly open applications etc.[/font]

By 'you need to add half the grade width onto the value before converting back' what do you mean? Do you mean we need to add a .5? If so, we already have done this under formula details and this seemed to make it worse (still not calculating correctly)

I don't personally deal with the SIMS system, I'm helping a colleague however we're setting the grades with a number on the marksheet so that it will create an average (as you can't add up letters) however if it comes out as the answer being 14.8 it will always round down for example? Any ideas? Any more detail required, let me know, I'll do my best

We've been informed by one of our support companies that 2012 isn't good for print servers apparently! Also, I don't even know if we have the driver discs for all printers any more, most are Kyocera printers should they be easy enough to get again?

Thought this was the best thread to post in. Here's our dilemma: We have a 32bit Windows 7 network with a 32 bit print server on server 2003. We are wanting to upgrade our print server as we are having issues with it, ideally to 2008R2 which is 64 bit. Can we install the 32 bit drivers for printers on the 64 bit server or will this cause issues? (I've heard there have been multiple problems with this in the past). Or would we have to upgrade the entire network to 64 bit? etc. etc. Any ideas?

Hello, I think I've caused a few problems with GPO's and I can't really work out how to fix it. On staff machines I want it to show the username of the last person logged in, but I also want that to appear when they lock their machine. Currently it sometimes shows the last username, others don't and they all don't show any username when locked! This makes it confusing to know when someone is logged on or not? Any help?!

Hello, My golden image has SP1 installed, however every time I image there are 200 updates on the first check. I was wondering is there a way to just inject all these updates during the imaging process? I had a look at the MBSA however that didn't really work! Thanks!

From what I can see it looks like it's the network card driver - I've had this in the past, just look up the driver on the laptop manufacturers website, add it to the OOB drivers folder and then ensure you update the deployment share.

I've got a bit of a crisis on my hands, I have MDT set up and it's been fine, no problems. All of a sudden I've come to image a machine this morning and I'm getting an error telling me it can't install the OS and I'm getting the error code 5624. I've tried re-importing the OS withing MDT but still no luck! PLEASE HELP!

We also have this, but how do you save directly to the user area? It doesn't allow us to? If possible, please could you help with screenshots! Cheers!
