Moodle problem - Cannot access at all
Dkeen94 replied to witch's topic in Virtual Learning Platforms
Is it running on a windows box or a linux box? Im assuming you have the admin credentials? have you tried removing and re-adding in the AD settings? If you want some help with this give me a shout! -
Try and rewrite the wwwroot URL it looks like part of it is being contained in the string and some of it isnt See how mine is completely red? part of your wwwroot URL is white as if its just text and part of it is blue It should all be blue. Give this a try

Make sure your Config.PHP is set up correctly and also any apache configs are correct. Potentially your Config.PHP could be pointing to a directory that doesnt exist. Can you access direct from the IP address instead of the DNS name?
-
Working fine for me, might just be internal clients!
-
Are you running the site over SSL or just HTTP?
-
How are you running your emails? I am failing to set the emails up ATM! Same server specs as you!

I have never done a course and i used to do cable runs in my previous job. Just takes a little common sense and practical ability!

Unfortunately not! If it is like our setup here, i have to log into each AP and change the setting. Managed wireless systems are definately the way forward!
-
You need to give yourself an Static IP for your machine with an IP Address and netmask for the range that your AP's are on, Then it will probably be a case of browsing to them all and changing the details on each AP Im In the same boat, 40 AP's that arent managed.

Do you have the IP Address' of all of the Access Points or is this something you will need to get aswell?

I have heard great things about this company School Website Design, Branding & Marketing for Education

To the best of my knowledge and i might be wrong here (Please feel free to correct me!) The "Quick List of address'" users see are specific to that profile, so each user has their own "list" so to speak. I know you can just highlight the email address and hit delete and it will remove it from the list but this would have to be done by the user, im not sure it can be done wholesale. My personal preference would be to "Reset" the profile on the machine but i dont know what your system or circumstances are there!

I agree with witch on this one make sure that you are following all the procedures to the Letter when doing this, it is a very grey area! I would maybe think about giving permission to the head or the DCPC of the school? Assuming this is a Genuine request inline with a school investigation procedures, follow the steps below: Log into Exchange Server > Open up the Exchange Management Console > Expand "Recipient Configuration" > Expand "Mailbox" > Locate the account in question > Right click on the account and select "Manage Full Access Permission" > Click " Add" > Locate the email address you want to give full access on the mailbox > Click "Ok" > Click "Manage" > Assuming no failures this should then add the mailbox to your outlook. My exchange is set to automatically open the mailboxs upon the next open of "Outlook", they will appear when i close it down and open it again.

[sims] SIMS Patch 19945 can anyone send to me tonight?
Dkeen94 replied to mark-p's topic in MIS Systems
I was pulled up on friday because there were 127 errors in the census, 90% of these were fixable by applying the patch! I applied the patch yesterday early morning, no one is rushing to get the census done though! -
Eclipse from MLS (An old version, but we are looking at updating)

Wouldnt let me edit my post, sorry! Specs for our Virtualisation: Dell T420 Servers with 2x Intel Xeon E5-2450 2.5GHz, 128GB RAM in each host Dell MD3220i SAN 10 TB with 20x 600GB SAS (10K Disks) Dell Backup Server 16TB (Disk to Disk portion of the backup) running Veeam Backup Essentials for Enterprise Tandberg LT05 8 Slot Storage Loader SAS And a new APC Smart UPS!

I'm going the route of 2 ESXi hosts, SAN and DD2T backup at the start of next year! I believe we have bought a Dell MD3220i for the SAN, then we have Dell T420 servers with a lot of RAM in them. I will update with specs tomorrow! SAN is definately the way to go, I am pretty much in the same position as you!
