About TopTech

  1. Hi again, As you know, the school I work in use it after seeing it at this years BETT show. We took advantage of the free trial from their website and found out for ourselves how easy it was, easy install and little configuration. I had a question at one stage and just have the guys at aircatch a call and they were helpful and polite. We have had it running for around a month now and the kids are managing fine, I don't think it could be any easier to be honest, I couldn't say the same for the file browser apps I trialed. John
  2. It allows you to send to only configured addresses.. Essentially, the folders within the specified folder/s which aircatch has been set to point to are the "email addresses".. My setup for example, aircatch is pointing toward "H:\homefolders" and within here are various pupil folders, a pupil can just send their work to the folder named after them, "fredsmith" from the iPad, in teachers cases, iPhones. Hope that helps.
  3. I have to say AirCatch, we trialled this back in February and ended up buying a full version! Only a little less than £300 a year and it lets the staff and pupils save to their home folders! It doesn't allow you to pull the files back from the server but we only have 1 movie app that seems like it would support this anyway. Thumbs up from me!
  4. Hi guys, Been a lurker for years now but only just decided to join up. Just wondered, for a long time I have had to install some software through command prompt being run as administrator. Easy enough but just a bit annoying.. Is there an alternative method to this yet? Sometimes the kids help me install some software and they spend a fair while getting this right when I'm not keeping a close eye. Thanks
  5. I saw a product called AirCatch at the BETT show last week. Looked interesting. Google points a search to AirCatch . I plan to try this out for our school this week.
