How are you deploying your images? One option if you have an unattend.xml is you can use the InputLocale variable and set that to "en-GB", which'll set it for you, but this'll only work for future deployments.

To be fair it's not too bad - everything can be gotten in a single playthrough (aside from a minor second dive into ME3 for one trophy). All of the "Use x power n times" are just for you as the player activating the power - even if the caster isn't Shepherd, so I'm happy just running through as an Engineer. I've seen issues reported with the "complete the majority of the game" in ME1, but apparently that can be forced by going back to the last save, finishing another sidequest, then the last mission again. That one pinged for me a LOT later than I expected as I finished almost every sidequest before Virmire (so I finished the rest of them off after).

I promised myself I wasn't going to buy the Legendary Edition..... So, just recently got the Platinum for the LE Version of ME1, and now working towards the Platinum for ME2...

Nope, no driver install at all, just on generics - I've got one connected to a Pi that's running as a thin client and it's fine.

For webcam / mic - we use a meeting owl. They are fairly costly, but the 360 degree camera will focus on the talker. Very easy to set up as well - either in the middle of the table, or they can be ceiling mounted in 'bat' mode.
