  1. On your Solus3 Deployment Service manager, go to Settings > Solus3 > Solus and observe the Service Host and Server/Agent ports.
  2. But why though? You and the staff member should do a list of pros/cons and present it in a short slt meeting. And make sure the definition of read and 'full access' are clear for all.
  3. I'm not impressed with the design. Gosh, those top/bottom bezels are kinda huge. I can't see this doing well in the UK with that pricing but G are more than welcome to surprise me.
  4. Cool. Now to see if the local o2 store has a demo unit out..
  5. What is this phone like to hold? I used to have a Nexus5 but swapped it out because the 'edge' irritated my hand.

I got my first platinum trophy yesterday, Valkyria Chronicles. It's a shame the new one is totally different gameplay wise.
  7. What I find amusing is that Amazon still lets people sell this junk on their platform and 'bans' Chromecast as it competes with their own stick and services. These boxes are not much different situation from dodgy Cable/Sky receivers, so something needs to change.
  8. Now for configuration... As previously mentioned in the thread, it is best practise to have a senior leader of some sort at this stage. At our school we have the Head of Behaviour who 'leads' the PARS implementation. They were helped through the configuration process by TASC. My minor role is to change the configuration as necessary and apply permissions to users.
  9. Our PARS runs from our IIS server and is not a dedicated solution. It runs from C:\inetpub\wwwroot\PARS_APPLICATION. It should not be that complicated to warrant a new VM for it. We have an install of SIMS to the IIS server by solus agent. Our connect.ini in c:\windows has 'SIMSDotNetDirectory=c:\program files\sims\sims .net' The PARS database is on the SIMS server. I didn't personally set it up, but since my previous boss didn't complain about it I can only assume it went smoothly with TASC support.
  10. Thanks. Today I have ran these commands: Set-OwaMailboxPolicy -Identity "Student" -GroupCreationEnabled $false Set-OwaMailboxPolicy -Identity "Student" -SetPhotoEnabled $false Set-CASMailbox -Identity [email protected] -OWAMailboxPolicy "Student"
  11. Hello, A student is repeatedly creating groups that sync into our global address book on Outlook. We have a student role assignment policy with all functions unchecked and is definitely applied to the student in question. Q1: Is there something else that needs doing to disable group creation for specific users? Q2: Is there a method of preventing non-AD synced groups appearing in the global address book? I have used the powershell command Set-OwaMailboxPolicy -Identity Student -SetPhotoEnabled $False to disable changing user photo. I then used another command (can't remember) to apply the 'Student' mailbox policy to one student. However the student managed to change their picture again today. Q3: What else am I supposed to do to disable the picture option?
  12. The service was stopped and set to Manual start. I have changed to disabled. Will monitor. From experience, does this also apply to updates that have been already downloaded and pending a shutdown?
  13. Hello, Is there a proven method to disable windows update on the Home edition? I'm reading a few google results saying editing the local proup policy won't do it and services will reactivate. The nucs in our canteen running the coin machines are failing and take forever to roll back disrupting breaks.
  14. Would it be unreasonable in this case to ask for the original poster's region based on their IP address? So we can rule ourselves out.
  15. Either black or brown, Strong, weak perhaps even sweet. Anything goes. Coffee.
  16. I would take it back. My device reads correctly on the first go about 90% of the time.
  17. Did you register the print in a 'straight' position as opposed to the angle you naturally use the phone in?
  18. I think the Nvidia Shield TV (non pro) is a fantastic offer at £99. I bought one a couple of weeks ago for £170 and its brill for emulators and streaming.
  19. SLT here have an X strikes, X disciplinary procedure. Reduced missing registers dramatically.
  20. Yes, you can only replace it.
  21. Bumping this as I'm having trouble too. Cannot get the built-in twitter module to load on the clients either.
  22. Student using anothers account?
  23. I was told the ldf is only supposed to be a under a few MB. If you backup your database daily, it should clean up the older stuff afterwards.
  24. The only difference between mine and the senior techs JD is that they also order stuff on the finance system. At one point the ST actually asked management to reduce role to technician, then split the salary difference to both of us. Didn't happen, but bless
  25. I'm not sure if it helps, but we had to open up the macro permissions in the Office Trust Center to get some reports working correctly.
