Wininstall if I really have to but I only use: #APP V #Most .exe's can be extractable to get a msi then I use ORCA to edit our desktop shortcuts etc.. MSI packagers are just to messy
-
Well I wouldnt do this for DC's. I'd just create a new DC on Hyper V environment and transfer roles from old DC alot cleaner and safer. Also I try and keep DC's physical or at the very least one
-
or use APP V! well if you re on volume licensing

Please dont go near them, for your schools benefit!!

Long time away! I m looking at installing SCCM 2012 fresh. Now I know Microsoft said everything was going to be in one big suite with DPM/ SCOM etc.. now we have a DPM and SCOM 2010 environment. Can I install SCCM 2012 seperate on another server and not affect DPM 2010/ SCOM 2010?

Myself and Achandler went with them, they were offering the 100mb connection with adsl backup the main reason they re cheap is because they use their backbone so not a direct connection. They have always been helpful and were always honest with us when we had general meetings with other companies, we had one dodgyish time for 2 hours in 1 1/2 years

wow first week working at a uni has been great! done 10 and 11 hour shift even though I do 8 hours because so much fun. Also live so close so when I have to be in for 9 get up at 8:20am plus doing a 10 - 6 shift today and got up at 9:20 Though some people dont like it, I love there is process and policies plus because I manage systems I dont have to touch other things like networks, desktops, website etc.. plus we have a dedicated helpdesk so we dont have to deal with the general public. Weird thing is dealing with 2 massive datacentres, 100s of servers plus when you walk in any of them a video camera starts recording and everything is swipe cards. Also nice ot have a good team under me though I m in process of merging six forests into two

I disagree to a point look at AOL! RM had its time, its holding onto legacy schools I d guess it hasnt took on many new schools for a while plus with the BSF starting a year before elections they took a massive gamble

well they always chaneg their mind! And I completly agree with GrumbleDook, I go to the head and govenors with proper project plans like moving away from council Internet, live@edu then they decide yes or no. How would the head know about live@edu? benefits of moving from a managed system, they ve got to worry about other things! just technicial = senior tech -
