Just had one of our Intel Classmate type netbooks given to me with this error that Ive never seen before:

Im not sure how much the Windows demographic install base is split between consumer (home users) and enterprise (schools, business, etc) but I can see that it may be possible that the home consumer, who might buy a new home computer every 7-12 years* may this time round (is 7 - 12 years a generation?) be heading for the much more advertised consumer based devises such as ipads and non x86 tablets. * based on the current lifetime of xp and the amount of xp computers I still know in homes currently (<100 so not a global figure) However with most international enterpise so heavily invested with windows, be it xp or 7, i dont see them all dumping windows because windows 8 has a bit of a new UI. Granted the 'metro' interface, and charms, etc are not ideal on a non-touch device, but as mentioned may times in all the windows 8 threads, add in a windows 7 style start menu, and windows 8 is basically a faster, and more feature rich windows. IMO the only thing that MS have messed up with is forcing the metro interface on non-touch devices. Add an option like the 3rd party tools provide to bring back the start menu, and windows 8.1 or blue or pink or whatever they call it will be great.

also @CyberNerd is it not illegal to be in possession of prescription drugs without a prescription? So even if you were to make them yourself, it would still be illegal? eg I can go to asia and buy Valium over the counter, but would break the law if I were to bring them back into the UK where they are a controlled / prescription only substance. For over the counter or off the shelf drugs, I guess its no different from baking your own cakes; you are equipped with the raw ingredients and the tools and knowledge to turn them into something else. IANAL tho so before you make your first batch best ask someone qualified

surely the reason for the drugs being expensive is the pharmaceutical trademarks and copyrights, and if you were to create your own you would be breaching those trademarks?

heh yeh i do seem to choose bloody expensive hobbys. Still havent finished paying off all my SCUBA gear yet Which kind of is what has wanted me to get into photography as I would like to eventually get into underwater photography. If anyone can post links to actual filters and releases would be good please as I dont have a clue what im looking for, hanks.

Ive ordered the collins textbook previously mentioned in this thread so will work through that and hopefully take some better shots soon

HTC Velocity

It loads apps like the BBC news app really quick, but its a lot better hardware than my previous phone (HTC HD2 running Jellybean) as well so Im not sure which of the performance increases are down to a better spec phone and which is due to the speed of the network. Streaminig from youtube etc seems OK though.

Am I right in thinking this is pretty damn fast?

Guess I will need to learn adobe photoshop as well as how to use this camera. Think I might sign up for a course
