  1. Does anyone know what we can do with this licence? I can see this licence and it is automatically applied to all our users. In the Azure portal, I cant seem to configure anything, I would like to test applying licences by group membership - and thought that an Azure Basic licence would allow this?
  2. I would be careful with this, it also states "To maintain compliance with your Microsoft licensing agreement, you need to assign licenses to any users that use premium features." And there are comments at the bottom of the article: While it is possible to do that it would make you non-compliant with the licensing terms. Microsoft requires each user to have the appropriate license per the doc found linked below and in my original response. You will need to work with your licensing vendor of choice to make sure that you are compliant. In this case for Self-Service Password Reset/Change/Unlock with on-premises writeback you would need an Azure AD Premium P1 or P2 license as of today's date.
  3. Great post - thank you very much, this worked a treat. You don't happen to know how to make the same change on the 'Password Change' screen for AD FS 4.0?
  4. I've liked the Linx 10 10 model, about £150 and its very nippy. Not the prettiest or thinnest device, but it's sturdy. Got a class of 15 using them and loving it. Also got a locked tablet trolley that charges them for a few hours each night. EDIT: We got ours from novatech, came with Windows 10 pro, so I just joined them to the domain and installed office. No bloatware on board
  5. We are running v15 and the past few updates have all gone on fine. I usually take a snapshot of the server and just run the installation, all very simple, it's just a next-next-next process. Tried to run v15.1 and it did not go smoothly, going to retry it next week (I think it might have been something to do with pending windows updates on it) With updating the MFDs, our Konicas usually download the update from the server and nothing has to be touched. However if i remember rightly, on one of the updates (Might have been v14) I removed all devices and re-added them under a new OpenAPI version. Because one of the papercut updates added an OpenAPI 4.0+ to the Konica Minolta This API ran fine on our MFDs with old firmware and then we got Konica in to run any firmware updates.
  6. WARNING - Skype for Business Server 2015 has a normalization/matching bug - problem for those with Exchange Auto Attendants This is a known issue that is being worked on by MS, fix is expected in q3 2015. Post with updates on this issue is here Original post is below Hi All, I have just upgraded Lync server 2013 to Skype for Business 2015 and now when trying to dial response groups through my UM auto attendant they fail with "The call cannot be transferred, returning to the main menu... The call cannot be transferred, returning to the main menu" and then the phone call cuts out. Calls to the response groups directly from an internal phone work fine, and so does dialling an individual users extension. It's just when trying to call from outside to a response group. Anybody got any ideas? (I'm going to update exchange to CU8 tonight as we are on an older rollup and hope that it helps) Many thanks, Seb EDIT: It seems like it's not able to recognise the extension, if i dial an extension that i know doesnt exist (like 9999) i get the same error in the logs. If i dial 5052 i get straight through to a person, but if i dial 5050 which is set up as a response group it fails. EDIT 2: I have checked that the cert assigned to UM and UMCallRouter has the correct subject name. I have also checked that refer support is set to none.
  7. Thank you, great work.
  8. Thanks for all your help guys. I phoned VOIPunlimited and they told me that dialling 101 is not provisioned at their end due to regional dialling or something like that. I've asked them to look into it for me. Thanks again.
  9. We have a sip trunk provided by VOIPunlimited. Just looked into our trunk config where i found the rule that adds a + to the numbers we dial. So i have added a rule in there thats similar to our 999 rule. I will commit changes and test. EDIT: Nope, still no luck
  10. Thanks for your reply, could you expand a little more on this? Shouldn't my [0-9] pattern cover 101? This is my current route
  11. Hi Everyone, We're having trouble dialling 101 (The UK police non emergency number) 999 and 112 normalise fine and dial straight out. I'll attach a screenshot of my normalisation rules, which to me look like they should work. Is there something else i need to configure except for the dial plan? If anyone has experience with this it would be much appreciated. Cheers
  12. Thanks for the help emdrum. Feel a bit silly now as it was a really easy fix of sorting out WPAD to work properly. Thanks anyway.
  13. After furthur investigation, i've found its not to do with the above. We want our smoothwall to be able to have the same fqdn on different subnets and our wireless devices are pinging the wrong IP for their proxy/gateway. Adding a reverse lookup zone fixed this for our wireless devices, but messed up our LAN. It would round robin between the two different IPs Could anyone point me in the right direction? Is this a DNS or routing issue?
  14. I found a temporary fix for this just in case anyone else is having a similar issue. Disabled the social connector add in, this can be done by starting in safe mode or by GPO as described here: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/2020103
  15. Has anyone experienced outlook 2010 not working once skype for business is installed? I've had to upgrade outlook to 2013, also looking out for an update because i've heard there might be a hotfix for this
  16. Hi All, I was wondering if anyone has experienced anything similar and can give me a few pointers. We are currently experiencing bleeding between some of our VLANs (Specifically traffic from one of our WLAN on Meru is bleeding onto our curriculum VLAN) This is causing an intermittent connection to our smoothie box/gateway. I 'm looking down the route of ARP tables and ARP flux but I don't feel like i'm making progress (Not very knowledgeable about this area) Our switches are currently a mix of managed layer 3 HP and some very old 3com switches which I really want to bin completely but y'know... Money Cheers guys S
  17. Hi, We use Papercut here at our school and I want to move over to using a GPO to deploy our printers instead of using scripts. I need a way to do this by workstation and not user, as teachers and students move around the building a lot. This works fine, except for this method bypasses the print server - therefore bypassing Papercut. Anyone have a solution to this? PS. I've done a quick search and I found an old thread that I didn't want to re open, I didn't quite understand the solution they presented or think that it will be applicable to my situation.
